This is the wall I face, while working in my home office.
I only have to glance to the left to see the bird feeders, yard, gardens and river.
I always wish that empty little space to the left of the shelves were filled with something.
Something pretty and happy.
But it's a small,
awkward space and I didn't think I would ever find something that would fit,
and something that I liked as well.
Enter Pier 1 Imports, they have the most amazing "Wall Ware"
I found something that I love and fit's in the space perfectly.
This pretty Shutter, with clothes pins attached, for displaying whatever your heart desires.
It is perfect for this spot
and I knew I could make it pretty and fun.

And it would be easy to change out the pictures when I wanted to.

I used photographs, pictures and cards, meaningful items.
This is the doorway to the kitchen, which is then open to the family room.
And although this is a working office, I think it looks pleasant, colorful and happy...

Its important to have a nice space to work in at home or at work. I always made sure I had some of my things around me when I worked. Just makes the space more important to you. Your space looks great.

That is the cutest wall I have seen. The addition of the shutter is perfect.
I've noticed that you take the time to have or take pictures of you and your husband. What a treasure for you both and your kids. My daughter wanted a picture of my husband and I to hang in my grandson's room so she could call attention to it. She wanted him to see our picture often because we live 5 hours away. We didn't have any. You have inspired me to capture the moment in a personal way when we go places.

thank you sally!! we have a lightweight tri-pod that folds and can actually fit comfortably in a backpack that we almost always carry. our children are grown now and we enjoy our "selfies", which we actually take with the trip-pod!!!
