When the waves pick up and the foam comes in...
it reminds me of the tourists.
The out-of-towners have come and they have taken over.
There will be no more long short walks on the empty beaches.
Our hunts for shells and sea glass are over until the Fall.
The beaches are no longer free to enter and on our favorite beach,
you must pay to get on until 9 pm on weekends.
But there are other perks to living at the shore during summer.
We have the boardwalks, movies on the beach, fireworks, putt-putt, festivals,
concerts, craft shows, peddle boats, parks - and so much more.
I am excited to live in a place where other people come to vacation!

There seems to be much to enjoy, so enjoy. Sunny here today. Looking good.
🙂 life near a beach is glorious! Enjoy!
sounds like a great location
Hello, beautiful shots of the beach and waves. I do not like the beach during the crowded summer season. You do live in a great location. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and the new week ahead!
Debbie, this is such a beautiful place, I could almost hear the waves coming in. Thank you for sharing!
Love seeing those frost tipped rushing waves! I haven't been to the beach in quite some time.
It's so nice that y'all have a lot of fun things go do. :)
xoxo
Love these pictures...
A warm summer beach sounds glorious, even if you have to share it with throngs of people. Enjoy. Don't forget sunscreen!!! Xoxo Andrea @ This Knitted Life
Life is hard . . . I might take a drive to the beach
Love your beach shots. Missing the beach this yr. I get to enjoy it every other yr in Calif. but I am having to miss this yr. Still eating a certain way which makes traveling hard. Still paying off hospital bills and adjusting to retirement pay! haha.....Might have to make a fast run to Fla. for some sand and sun!
Such fabulous photos, mu friend! I lived right by Lake Huron when I was younger and oh, how I loved being by the water! The cottages would fill up during the summer, but it was always a fun time :)
Hugs to you!
You have no idea, how HAPPY your photos, make me. We so miss getting to the ocean....
I too, live in a place, where people love to come for vacation. Actually, they love to visit, all year long. But summer is the peak.
We locals learn to not try to drive around town, except early or late. We use the "back-streets", which we know avoid the main-drag huge traffic. Etc. Etc. And this can get to be a bother, too.
Best to just life wisely, following all the tricks we know.. :-) And enjoy the ambiance of the beauty, around us. We become a city of flowers, everywhere. Hanging flowers downtown... People have flowers in their yards. Etc.
I will soon be going around, early mornings, and taking pics of the pretty houses. :-)
Oh dear Debbie, You always capture such unique photos. I love these pictures of the waves; so foamy and just beautiful. I haven't walked along a beach in many years and hope to do so sometime in the future. I enjoy so much following all the adventures you have in your area. You are the best! Big hugs~
Seeing that foam would be fascinating. I'm sure you will find other things to keep you busy, while you don't go to the beach.
Oh the waves are terrific, how wonderful to see the mighty ocean come to the shore, always so exciting to watch!!
I always wondered what people thought about others coming to their home town on vacation until we moved to a town in Michigan that was a vacation destination, we just had to have patience, and now that it only last a few months :) Like you said it also brings so many nice things too :) Hope you get out and enjoy them all :)
I don't have the ocean beaches, but I love it when the waves are rolling in on Georgian Bay.
Beautiful beach. No wonder tourists flock to enjoy the beach. I too do not like big crowds. Once the tourist season is over, you will get back your quiet, lovely beach. Have a beautiful day!
How lovely to live near the ocean :)
Wonderful seascapes! I feel your pain about the crowds, but it's only temporary I suppose.
You memorial day photos are excellent. I've visited that memorial, too. A long time ago.
Love that you always look on the bright side! Beautiful ocean pictures. (And thank you also for the fine Memorial Day tribute post above.)
I love the sea Debbie. Wonderful. Beautiful pictures.
Nice homage also to the soldiers.
Buen lunes.
Besos
Debbie, these photographs are gorgeous!
You are so fortunate to live so close to the ocean.
