We spent the weekend here...Mt. Washington in New Hampshire
the view of the mountains was spectacular!
Here's the hubs, selecting the perfect rock for the rock garden!!
The mountains were gorgeous, unreal looking!
And for those who are wondering, no climbs here.
My nephew, the outdoors man that he is, scheduled a group hike on Saturday morning.
3 miles, moderate conditions...
I figured, I might make it to the gathering/starting point...
then I would be looking for the finish line.
They all loved it, I went horseback riding instead, really, I did.
More on that soon, tomorrow I must share my latest knitting project!

Wow! What spectacular scenery Debbie, the mountains make a perfect backdrop for the hotel, it must be lovely to stay there, and you got a souvenir that will bring back happy memories of the perfect weekend.
I've only driven through New Hampshire. I think I need to go stay and have a look around. It looks beautiful.

Gorgeous scenery! I would rather do the hiking instead of being on a horse, but that's just me.
I've always wanted to visit Mt. washington!
I love traveling along with you! Actually, I have been there once myself long long ago. Back in 1985!
What a beautiful and romantic place to spend the weekend!
These are lovely photos. It actually looks like some places here in Utah. I love the moutains, rivers and landscapte. I can tell it was a peaceful sweet place to be. I am hoping this next week to be able to go on a picnic on our day off from our missionary endeavors. I need to go to the mountains and just enjoy the peace and beauty it always provides. I will take some photos to share.
Blessings and hugs~
A fantastic lanscape all around.
Glorious photos of glorious scenery. They take my breath away!
We are going to a campground next summer that is about an hour from there! It looks amazing I can't wait to go..... we are planning on getting a heavier duty truck to manage the mountains though!

Oh, wow! How gorgeous! Good for you!
Thanks for the visit, it is a beautiful area!!
Hike, walk, or ride horses that is beautiful country to do it in -- how absolutely lovely and what a nice way to get your 'well' back again!!
My hair stylist has a bumper sticker that says "This car climbed Mt. Washington." Now I know what they saw. What a lovely view! Your knitting is so pretty and perfectly stitched. I'm glad you got to go horseback riding!
Much fun!
Yes, this is a beautiful area and luckily now that we live in NH, it's slightly over a 2 hour trip, compared to the distance from NJ,also our home state. If you ever return to the White Mountains, check out the Mountainview Inn which is about 30 min. away on Whitefield, NH. We stayed there and it's a also a grand old hotel, but just a bit smaller than the MW.
