Patch!!!

During our weekend wedding get-a-way,
the hubs and I were able to sneak away for an hour of horse back riding fun

located on the grounds of The Mount Washington Resort
offers 1 hour rides in the beautiful setting of the White Mountains!
It was the first time riding for both of us and we loved it!

Here I am on Patch...

Patch was a bit fiesty...so I thought we were a good match!

It was a beautiful day,
bright sunshine and the temperatures were in the low 70's.
We had to leave the camera at the stable, so getting a lot of pictures was difficult.
The scenery on the ride was gorgeous, lots of mountains and beautiful streams.
The horses follow each other on a wooded path at a very slow pace,
which was perfect for us.
Chucks horse was a pretty spotted white, he does not remember his name.

This resort was beautiful and there were so many fun things to do.
I would love to go back...
when my "butt" can make that 7 hour trip again.
I'm not sure it will ever forgive me!!

Good morning Debbie. The horseback riding sounds like a fun time. Great shots of you on your horse. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

I have ridden 4 times in my life. Each time the horse bolted and ran or tried to throw me off.
I do not like horses!
You look like a Pro sitting up there on Patch!

That is a long time to be on a horse. What fun though. I found it interesting you have never rode a horse.
I am glad you had such a nice time though. Horses I would say, are what saved my life. :)
Even though I don't ride now.
Have a lovely day Debbie. I think Patch is pretty.

Patch looks like quite the character. I haven't ridden a horse since I was a kid. My significant other is quite allergic to horses. I think just looking at these photos would make him sneeze.

Haha! Patch was ready to go! Well done you getting on horseback! It is so much fun to see the countryside from there!

You sure look happy!! Didn't you get any photos of the hubs?

What fun! You look so happy. You were brave... Bill can ride but I have to confess that I'm a bit afraid of horses, especially feisty ones. Even though he and many other people have tried to assure me that trail horses are never THAT feisty (but there is always a first time). (That long ride plus a horseback ride sounds really hard on the back end!)

You look beautiful up on Patch!! I bet he was glad to meet you and spend an hour with you. :-) The only time I've been on a horse was when I was a child. A couple of times I was allowed up on a cousin's horse and a neighbor's horse and was "led around." I love horses and wanted one so badly when I was a child. I pretended my bicycle was a horse. LOL

How neat to have tried something new, was that on your bucket list :) My hubby and daughter went on horseback on Mackinaw Island Michigan and those horses did the same thing. I have never rode a horse, I am too big, don't want to break it's back.

Awesome! Everyone should ride a horse once! Patch looks like he wanted to stay in the barn. LOL

Looks like you are having fun. The last time I rode a horse was on my Honeymoon 24 years ago. My butt was sore for 2 days afterwards. I'm not a fan of riding.
