Mount Washington

We spent the weekend here...Mt. Washington in New Hampshire
the view of the mountains was spectacular!

Here's the hubs, selecting the perfect rock for the rock garden!!

The mountains were gorgeous, unreal looking!

And for those who are wondering, no climbs here.
My nephew, the outdoors man that he is, scheduled a group hike on Saturday morning.
3 miles, moderate conditions...
I figured, I might make it to the gathering/starting point...
then I would be looking for the finish line.
They all loved it, I went horseback riding instead, really, I did.
More on that soon, tomorrow I must share my latest knitting project!

Wow! What spectacular scenery Debbie, the mountains make a perfect backdrop for the hotel, it must be lovely to stay there, and you got a souvenir that will bring back happy memories of the perfect weekend.

Isn't this a gorgeous place, Debbie???
I was not too fond of driving all the way up (road is SO narrow), but once up there...oh my goodness!

Gorgeous scenery! I would rather do the hiking instead of being on a horse, but that's just me.

These are lovely photos. It actually looks like some places here in Utah. I love the moutains, rivers and landscapte. I can tell it was a peaceful sweet place to be. I am hoping this next week to be able to go on a picnic on our day off from our missionary endeavors. I need to go to the mountains and just enjoy the peace and beauty it always provides. I will take some photos to share.
Blessings and hugs~

My hair stylist has a bumper sticker that says "This car climbed Mt. Washington." Now I know what they saw. What a lovely view! Your knitting is so pretty and perfectly stitched. I'm glad you got to go horseback riding!

Yes, this is a beautiful area and luckily now that we live in NH, it's slightly over a 2 hour trip, compared to the distance from NJ,also our home state. If you ever return to the White Mountains, check out the Mountainview Inn which is about 30 min. away on Whitefield, NH. We stayed there and it's a also a grand old hotel, but just a bit smaller than the MW.
