Does anyone remember my favorite purchase from the
Chester Craft Show
It was a wonderful Craft Show, where I picked up lots of beautiful,
handcrafted items.
The seeded, edible bird house came with instructions.
When the seed had been depleted, the wood could be cleaned,
covered in peanut butter
and replenished with new seed.
The birds wiped it out pretty quickly
and re-coving this has been on my "to do list" for ever.
It rained on Sunday and I finally got to cross this project off my list.
Supplies...
I used black oil sunflower seeds and safflower seeds.
I did not clean the old stuff off,
I didn't really need to but perhaps next time I will.
I used 3/4 of a jar of inexpensive very cheap peanut butter,
and it took very little seed, less then a 1/2 a cup of each seed,
to cover the entire house.
Looks good...
not bad, but it needs a little "color".
There, that's better!
I tucked some yarn scraps inside,
for the birds, for Spring nesting.

What a great way to put out treats for the birds and to be able to use it over and over is even better.

Oh my I have the very same precious angel, she's in my china cabinet, she's very dear to me. I received her as a gift, or rather prize at my first daughter-in-law's wedding shower!

there is a recipe for edible glue, consists of gelatin, corn syrup whole wheat flour! :)
