Saturday Critters ~ 29 ~

I see Mockingbirds in this area all the time,
but I have never seen them at my feeders!

On June 1st, I spotted two in my yard.

I found them difficult to photograph but I have been persistent,

and on June 8th I captured this image.

After hanging around for a few minutes,
I took this picture that I liked because it showed off his eye!!

And my persistence payed off on June 10th
as I was rewarded with this pretty image.
I hope they like my "birding spot" and decide to stay!

And on a side note,
boy, do they have have long tails and beautiful wing patterns when in flight!

I am super excited to be joining in with Eileen over at
for Saturday Critters.
Stop by and consider joining in, any critter will do!

Congratulations! Beautiful shots, Debbie! If they do decide to stick around, you may regret that wish. LOL! I have yet to see a bird they aren't afraid to bully off the feeders. On the flip side, they have a great variety of mimicking sounds!

Debbie, you got some awesome shots of the Mocker. His eyes are cool. They do make sound weird sounds. I heard they like grape jelly too.

Thank you for linking up to my critter party, enjoy your weekend!

Great shots did you whistle with it. I tend to get in some conversations with them while I'm doing chores at the farm.

I LOVE mockingbirds! You got some really great photos. Hope he continues to come and feed.

By the way, I WISH that was my feeding station in my grosbeek post! :-) We spent two days at Chuparosa Inn in Madera Canyon for an early anniversary celebration, and I have been posting the pictures we took on that short trip for a month now! :-) I'd love to have that many varieties in my yard!

Awesome capture of the Mockingbird. It is difficult to capture them as they are so fast. Bravo on the capture.
