A "Ducky" Day...

Saturday was a beautiful day here at the Jersey Shore.
Sunny, sixty degrees and barely a cloud in the sky.

It didn't matter what you did Saturday,
if you were outside...it was going to be "ducky"...

The hubs and I spend some quiet time at Lake Como,
in Spring Lake, watching this pair of mallards.
It doesn't matter how many times I see them,
they are always special to me.
They were both tagged, I don't know who does that or why.
I hope in someway it is done to help the ducks.

So, how was your weather this past weekend?
I hope everyone was able to get outside, feel the sun on their face,
and know that Spring is in the air!

My "summer" is long overdue.

I want, at least, summer.

What pretty ducks. I am in agreement with you, being outside is just the best way to spend the day.

We had a beautiful day here too...and I squandered it - I was so tired. I'm sure the napping and rest was needed - but the fresh air would have probably helped even more! I love the curly tail feathers on those guys...never fails to make me chuckle!

Hi Debbie... I never get tired of the Mallards!! I think they always look like they are smiling : )
It was up to 44, both weekend days, but the wind had a bite to it!! Wall to wall sunshine with not a cloud in sight (well from my vantage point anyway)!!

If you can read the number on the bands there are people to report them to but of hand I don't know how that works!! It is for tracking the ducks travels..how far they have been, longevity etc.!!

LOVE the duck photos. Our weekend was quiet, as always. It was melting like crazy here. Supposed to be up to 45 today. Still a little wintry.

Hi, Debbie! You caught some great photos of your ducks. Love seeing their little feet.

It snowed and sleeted on Friday, then was in the 60s Saturday and almost that warm yesterday. I admit I'm not quite ready for that kind of warmth. :-)

Good to be back to my blogs!

Our volunteer birders band the birds and ducks for research to see where they are thriving and other information. Wish I knew more about it. You duck photos are so sweet. Glad you had a nice weekend.

The Jersey Shore is just beautiful! Mr. and Mrs. Duck look so relieved that the sun is shining! It was pretty yesterday so we did outside cleaning, washed all of the patio furniture, swept the patios, wiped all that dirty winter away. Today we will tear down a flower bed that crab grass has invaded and conquered, bbq hamburgers for supper, and ride the four wheeler in the woods! Hope your day is sunny and bright!

You've caught some fun photos. The water looks cold though. Maybe because we still have so much snow here.

Wow. The ducks are stunning. It was cold by me so I spend most of the day indoors.

We went to the St. Patty's Day parade in Seaside and it was so much fun because the weather was so nice! There's a pair of swans that live in the bay by our house. I'll have to remember to take a pic to show you - they're so beautiful!

Weather was warm over the weekend, but even warmer today when temps neared 70 degrees. Cooler temps are on the way for end of this week.

I am afraid we got snow around here. It didn't last long. Spring just isn't here quite yet.
I love the duck pictures. My grandson recently won an art contest for his drawing of some ducks
We actually have geese and ducks that live just across the street from us. There is canal that they live by and they like to come out and walk around a lot in front of our house. I have posted a few pictures of them.
I love the photos on this one. The clear blue sky looks so good. I am going to show the pictures to my grandson.
Blessings and hugs1

We did have nice weekend weather and I enjoyed it. Today not so much. - Ducks are so fun to watch. The pair hanging around our neighborhood showed up yesterday again, so out came the bread, which they gobbled up in no time flat.
