The end of one month and the beginning of the next is busy for me, work wise.
My office is in the house, my work is not hard, but it just takes up time...
there are so many other things I would rather be doing.
Knitting, painting, baking, cooking, playing in my gardens definitely have to take a little bit of a
back seat right now.
I knit at night, when watching television, so I am able to enjoy knitting almost every day.
this Mandarin Duck was featured a few days ago here.
I love to color and have had a little time lately to color!
You would be amazed at the number of coloring books and supplies most craft stores offer for adults.
I have also been organizing the pictures on my computer...
here you can see, as of May 2nd I have 34,810.
and keep my screen saver clean.
But my big news...my butterflies have started to emerge!
If you are new to my blog, another hobby of mine is raising butterflies,
Black Swallowtails
These butterflies have been in chrysalis all winter...
May 6th this first boy emerged...stayed for pictures, then flew off.
then flew off quickly.
There are a lot more butterflies in our future, 12 or more!

I love your colouring books, Debbie, and your photos are fabulous! I will be posting on my blog on Monday and Thursday now, twice a week. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent at art and photography!
That puzzle of the mandarin duck looks beautiful.
All the best Jan
I'm always amazed at the quality of your pictures Debbie!
Debbie, I wanted to mention that your photo of the mandarin duck is so amazing that I feel that I can reach out and touch it!
Oh the butterflies! Love them. We saw a butterfly on the hiking trail this week. It is that time again!
Gorgeous butterflies! I have too many pictures, even though I am constantly deleting some.
Great photos and I love that you raise butterflies. When we move, I want to grow a bunch of stuff for the critters that fly.
The Mandarin Duck i just spectacular. Wow! I am so tech no savvy so I need to organize over 35,000 photos I have before I lose everything. We have seen a butterfly, an early one I am guessing here. Warm weather now but snow has fallen as late as Mother's Day! Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics.
Wow at first when I saw that duck I thought you were going to say you got that picture. Your coloring cards look terrific. Wow I have no idea on how many pictures I have . How fun to have the butterflies coming out again and they know just where to land to make a great picture with the flowers :)
A splendid and enjoyable post. You have lovely hobbies and I am always happy to read about your emerging butterflies.
