My Injured Chickadee

I get a lot of injured birds at my bird feeders.
This little Chickadee has been visiting every day for about a week now,
it's leg and foot are wounded beyond it's ability to use it.
Poor thing, down to one leg,
these images demonstrate just how strong a birds legs are and their ability to adapt to being hurt.

It always lands in the same spot of this tree, in the middle, where it probably feels most safe.
It is a beautiful bird,
it's coloring, feathers and cleanliness, prettier than some of the other Chickadees.
No ruffled feathers by this "impediment" it get's around well.

I hope it continues to come back as we will always have a plate out for you...
you can feel safe here!

And how about that sunshine, nice, right?!

This little wounded tit will find you a quiet and safe place.
It hurts to see a wounded creature.
Hugs and greetings.

I guess if a bird has to have an injury, the foot/leg would be better than a wing.

We have an ill goldfinch around the last 2 days. Flies a tiny bit but mostly on the ground near the feeders. Poor baby.

Oh what a SWEET LITTLE BIRD! Bless it's heart, so sad to see it's hurt. Real pretty pictures of it, and it knows for sure that it is SAFE THERE!

Ohhh the poor thing, I am glad he has somewhere to go that he feels safe, he must know that is a good spot :)
Do you name them?

They are quite adaptable. It's amazing birds aren't injured more often as light and fragile as they are. Glad this one can still fly and eat!

That little Chickadee is precious. I feel sad about it's little leg. It is amazing that it can compensate and still function. I do hope this little one stays near as it heals. You are the best and caring for nature!
Sending loving thoughts and hugs your way!
