Rain, Rain Go Away...

come back again another day!!

I'm sure one day soon we will need you,
I will appreciate you watering the vegetables and flowers for me...
taking good care of the earth the way that you do.
But today, I could use a little sunshine on my shoulder, to make me happy.

Today, the rain stopped but the skies were gray and rain is in the forecast for the next three days.
There are so many pretty blooms out and about in the yard,
but you really need to motivate yourself to take pictures on such a gray day.

But I did it, only because I needed blog material, so these are for you, my loyal readers!

My Knockout Rose Bushes are filled with buds,
it won't be long before they are filled with beautiful roses!!

These are just the pretty blooms in the back yard, I did not venture out front.
I had yet to brush my teeth.
I had not "showered" and "done" my hair and was sporting the Marge Simpson look.
(You getting a visual)
It never fails that when I venture out front, looking like crap,
all the neighbors are out and my house is the place to be.
When I look awesome, no one is around.

I took this picture the other day, while it was raining.
These interesting "things" are on my evergreens.
I have never noticed them before, and I have no idea what they are.
I liked the image, the scattered pretty raindrops, holding on tight!

Your photos prove that dull days are great for bringing out the colours. No glare.
PS: It pays to be loyal.

Thank you for sharing these gorgeous flowers from your garden Debbie. We have had rain all week here in Virginia too. I am ready for a bit of sunshine.

Just what I needed to see today--color! It has been raining here in Virginia too. I think we'll get some clearing tomorrow. But it has been pretty gray most of the week.

The lilacs made me so happy; thanks for venturing out in the rain and sharing. (Love all the pics, but lilacs are one of those special spring favorites that we used to grow and never see nowadays). Honestly I could almost get the beautiful aroma as I looked at your picture. Hope your rain goes away soon -- believe me I remember how tired of it a person can get -- even when you know it is what makes your area so beautiful and green (I'm looking at you, Oregon!).

So Pretty, isn't that the way it goes, I don't think anyone ever sees me looking nice. :)

So very beautiful, Debbie. I didn't cut my roses back enough I guess, because they aren't doing too well yet.

Pretty images, and I know just what you mean about walking outside and suddenly everyone is out there with you. Good thing for me it is only my kids and grandkids!

Indeed, ENOUGH WITH THE RAIN. We have had rain every day for the past 2 weeks, and it's been so chilly too.
I don't mind the rain so much, but I think I've forgotten what the sun looks like!!!

Your flowers are beautiful, Debbie. I especially love those lace-cap hydrangeas.

Happy Mother's Day, my friend.

Beautiful flowers! If you hadn't said so, I wouldn't have know it was an overcast day! We had our rain last week. Not to make you envious or anything, but this week has been blue skies and mild temperatures.

I am glad you decided to venture out even with the cloudy day you took amazing pictures, wish you would have taken a selfie, LOL! I feel the same way, if I am cleaning and the mail man comes and I decide to walk to the road to check the mailbox everybody is out and driving by, like you said I feel like they are only seeing me at my worse...OH well! Wow those are interesting things on your tree, just like when I went out and thought we had weird pinecones growing on our tree then I could have sworn it moved, showed my hubby and he came in and did some research, it ended up being bag worms and they were destroying our tree, those buggers are such a pain.

I think sometimes the colours are even more vibrant on rainy days.

I so enjoyed this on; especially your humor at the end. I know how you feel because there have been times when I needed something at a store and didn't have time to put myself together and I prayed that I wouldn't see anyone I knew. Prayers were not answered on that one.
I feel like these photos are a Mother's Day gift just for me; they are spectacular. I love the rain drops on the last ones. Also, I have heard that photos are better when the skies are gray; is that true? Certainly, sending hugs your way!
