The Tuckerton Seaport

May 3rd, the hubs and I took a day trip to

Located in the heart of historic Tuckerton,
with charming shops and restaurants,
this is a one of a kind Jersey Shore attraction of maritime traditions.

On May 3rd they were hosting a Beer & Food Truck Festival!
So fun and a tad crowded!!

Lot's of beautiful boardwalks and boats,
the seaport is home to decoy carvers, boat builders,
basket makers and a wonderful
Maritime Museum!

There is a little bit of a "Where's Waldo" reference in this picture!
Can you spot him??

A pretty and unique Lighthouse, with seagulls...

and without!!

Famous Pirates of Tuckerton

There was no shortage of fun...
I think those tiny "head holes' were made for children.
Do you see how the hubs angled his head perfectly,
he takes this stuff seriously.

Before we left, we posed for this picture,

and I got some close up images of the lighthouse.

One half hour north of Atlantic City,
if you're ever in the area, be sure and stop by,
we had an amazing day!

Hi Debbie, the food trucks seem to be getting popular everywhere. A festival and a cute lighthouse, sounds like a great time to me! Great capture of hubby's reflections and the pirates are cute too! Have a happy day!

Looks indeed very crowded, like the birds flying over.

Greetings,

You two have the best times. There is something about this seaport that reminds me a little of Mystic Seaport in CT.

What a fun, fun place to visit! Reminds me of one of our trips to Massachusetts. It's so beautiful out there. Glad you had a good time - and managed to keep track of your 'Waldo.' :-)

We know a bit about pirates down Florida way. Place looks a bit like Tarpon Springs, a 40 min drive west of Tampa on the Gulf Coast. Always a good place to go for good food, pictures of gulls and pelicans.

Very unique old light house....and I'm so glad there are all sorts of these places still tucked in safely on the Jersey shore. I'm an old town kinda gal...no desire to get near Atlantic City!

If I ever decided to take a rode trip I would love to visit New Jersey, you write such interesting stories about your state with pictures. The picture with you & hubby as pirates is cute. I live close by Blackbeards house here in Beaufort built in the 1700 which still stands.

Photos prove you had an amazing day; thanks for sharing them. I loved finding Waldo and the pirate poses were the best. I do think my favorite is the end of the day one with your hubby. Your happiness of just being together shows.
Blessings and hugs for this fun one~

Thanks Karen, it really is an amazing state. I don't "travel well" and I have found over the years that I don't have to go very far to have an amazing time!!
