When we visit Washington, D.C. we always stay at Gaylord National.
It is the most amazing hotel
and no one "does" Christmas like they do!!
This is the view from our balcony...
the sleeping area of our room...
and the over-sized luxury bath area.
I'm not sure how or why we received this luxurious up-grade...
It was bigger then the sleeping area, complete with a jacuzzi tub,
2 sinks, a shower with eight shower heads,
and 2 televisions.
The lobby is lined with these gorgeous Christmas Trees...
and this tree made entirely of candy, hangs in the atrium.
We had a ball...
and here is a look at the pretty tree lined path
that greets you out front!!
that greets you out front!!
If you are ever in the D.C. area, I highly recommend staying here!

Wow! I loved that last shot. Cool.
Always enjoy seeing those two smiles.
I love the trees outside!!! And I took a look at the next post as well - I noticed the lines showing where the layers of ice were poured, and I am in awe of the amount of planning that went into the whole set-up!!!! Beautiful! And you both look like you are having so much fun!!!
Looks like a beautiful place to stay!
WOW beautiful!!
Oh my gosh, Debbie, this post is as beautiful as yesterdays. What an amazing place. I have never seen such beauty. The room is so luxurious! We have nothing like this here in Missouri. Tonight when I lay my head sown, I will dream of ice sculptures, beautiful Christmas trees, and luxurious bathrooms... ahhh... feels so good! xxDazee

Debbie, wonderful and very luxurious.
Hmm, very far my dreams.
Unfortunately, unfulfilled.

What a TREAT!! The luxury - how fun! And the bee-u-tee-ful trees! Can you imagine the decorating?! I'd LOVE to watch it happen!
Looks like a lovely and luxurious place!
Such a beautiful, beautiful place. My oh my! :)
Hi Debbie, well your photos have amazed me... what a grand place to stay and, yes, they do Christmas so well.
I love those lighted trees, what a pretty effect.
Hope things are good over you way. Cheerio now :D)
Ohhhhhh I am so envious. The only reason to not stay there that I can think of is that I wouldn't want to leave my room! And we haven't ever even seen Washington DC yet. So if we're lucky enough to go there (and it is high on my bucket list) I better stay somewhere less enticing!
What a wonderful getaway though for you two ...
What fun! And you're smiling again - and so am i!! It's gorgeous there!!!
Debbie, it is a beautiful hotel and I love the room.. I would like a bathroom like that in my house.. :)
Great photos! Enjoy your week!
Fantastic! They do it beautifully! I dare say they give Clark Griswold a run for his money. ;-)
Wow! What a magical place! I could probably stay in the lobby the whole time with my camera! Looks like you too are having a great time!
Looks lovely and very festive.
Wow, wow, wow! I can see why you always stay there - it looks amazing! And the lights outside are so pretty :)
Hugs to you!

Happy faces, in happy places. The trees are just splendid, in your last photo.
Wow, they really do go all out. Love the lighted trees in the last shot.
Wow, now that's a bathroom! We just LOVE that place.
It all looks so lovely. I can see why this is a favorite place to stay. I am happy you could enjoy being there.
