He's a handsome fellow and evidently quite hungry. I loved seeing him eating (or trying to) the peanut.

That's a big meal for such a small bird. Top sharpness in your pictures.

Greetings,
Filip

At least these chow hounds look big enough to handle the peanuts! Great photos, again!

What defining captures! They sure love their peanuts! Best source of goodies I use to attract them.

More awesome photos. Such a beautiful bird. I was wondering the same thing, does he take the peanut away, or do you actually see him? :)

I love Tex's comment! It's amazing how they can get those big peanuts int their mouth. I'm wondering too if they eat them right there at the feeder or to they carry them away.

You really get some lovely close-ups of these birds. I love his rich blue color, and you manage to capture the different shades of his feathers :) Lovely.

Wondering if it was the same peanut in his beak each time, or if he swallowed and got new ones! That blue is a gorgeous hue!

Wow, he sure has a mouth-full! Glad he survived eating that lunch!

Oh, pretty.

We just bought a new brand of seed with lots of chucks of peanuts. I look forward to seeing if the jays go for it, or the squirrels hogout on it.

I am not exaggerating--these are gorgeous, Debbie! The detail of the feathers (they look so soft) and the colors is awesome. I agree with Theresa--you are the bird whisperer!
