I Invented Pinterest...

hehe, well not really...but I feel like I did!!

 See...here's "my" version of Pinterest.
Little scraps of paper "pinned" to the cork boards
inside my kitchen cabinet doors.
Recipes, tips and crafty stuff that I use all the time.
Handy, right??
But along came Pinterest and I don't really need this anymore.

So I..., no not me, the hubs, did a little conversion...
down with the scraps,

and up with the measuring cups.
hanging in the bakery cabinet, I really like this, it's so handy.

And while I was at it...I cleaned out my cabinets...

all 20 of them, plus 8 drawers, and our pantry.
These 2 are "show" worthy!

I took everything out of the frig,
cleaned all the shelves and put back "the worthy"!
Not much, mostly just condiments.

I have been Spring cleaning all winter.
I'll show you more tomorrow...
of what this girl from Jersey has been doing to keep herself busy,
through this cold and snowy winter!

So what's your theory on Spring cleaning??
Do it in the winter, when your stuck inside anyway...
Or wait till Spring and spend some of those beautiful
Spring days cleaning...not me!

Oh Pinterest is wonderful. I am a big user. I used to save clippings taped in journal books.

I have been cleaning kitchen cabinets and drawers too. I don't like to spring clean anytime but it is better to do it before the weather gets nice.

I'm a bit of a neat freak, so I clean and organize pretty regularly. The one thing I've been itching to get to is the outside of our windows - they are terribly dirty!

Wow, you are really organizing things! I started my spring cleaning in January. It's winter, it's cold, and we can't be outside anyway. By the time spring really arrives, we can be outside. It's only 12 above this morning, so spring's a little slow coming this year.

Well I think it looks wonderful. I think I have to do it all of the time. Everything gets so dusty here so it has to be done quite often. But then I happen to love cleaning and playing house. :) I love how great everything looks in its own place.

I'm still a cork board pinner! I never spring clean, I just clean year round when something needs it.

Maybe you could fly up here and help me get organized!

I'm with you -- clean while the weather is nasty outside! Who wants to be in cleaning when it's pretty out? Love your organized cabinets and the "first original" pinterest board. lol

Atta girl, Debbie!!!!
I spend almost the entire winter spring cleaning. I actually enjoy it, and then when (or should I say, if???) nice weather comes, I am not stuck inside doing it.

Right now, when it's too chilly to garden -- is when I like to start my spring cleaning. Good job on the cabinets! I really need to do this.

PS -- your post reminded me of the Essurance commercial and the Facebook wall...

I like your version of Pinterest. Much more efficient then the web-based version.

Actually, I don't think I have ever thought about doing spring cleaning in the winter. I think you are right it should be done when you are stuck inside all the time.
I loved your organized pantry; so inspiring. Blessings and hugs!

oh my - you put me to shame!!! Although I did clean out most of my kitchen cupboards at some point this winter - pre Christmas I think. This weekend...it's drag hubby (kicking and screaming if I must) into the garage. Mother/daughter yard sale coming up soon - and we are going to get RID of anything we don't USE!!!

I'm trying to spring clean, but with cats in the house, it's an uphill battle! I just rearranged my kitchen cabinets that I'd cleaned good at Christmas. I've got too many sets of dishes and finally got my Christmas stuff moved out of the way. I save recipes and stuff clipped out of magazines in scrapbooks. Why I don't know because you can find most anything online! But, it's still fun to do.

Well, you COULD have invented Pinterest, but you would have needed to call it Debbirest. :-)

Your cabinets look awesome! My theory on spring cleaning is that I would feel so much better with everything clean and orderly all at once!

I love spring cleaning!! Have been doing the same since January! Will be copying your cork idea! Yay! Thanks!

Hi Debbie! The Spring Cleaning Bug hit me yesterday. I do a deep clean before Easter and before Christmas. But, since it snowed all day today, does today's cleaning count toward this year's Christmas cleaning?
I approve of your organization! You may continue! LOL! :)

I am with Tex, having a dog makes it hard to keep up.. I need to hire a cleaning person. Are you available? LOL! You seem to be an expert at cleaning.

Your cabinets are wonderful. You did a great job! Have a great evening!

Hi Debbie, you're a girl after my own heart. Much nicer to clean when you can't get outside!
Your pantry is quite spiffy ... organised beautifully.
I have a question. What is the Manwich? I can't quite read what it is and I'm curious. Sandwich spread? It's next to the Campbells tin in your pantry. Sorry for being nosey but, well, that's me :D)
Cheers now

Impressive! I have a spice rack like just like that!

That looks great and very organized. I am trying to do the same thing. I try to spring clean when I notice things need doing, but sometimes I leave things until I just have to do it all in a rush. Company coming was always good for that :)

I do my 'spring cleaning' in the fall. I like things ORGANIZED and CLEAN for Christmas. That way I start the new year with everything in its place. :)

p.s. I am a Pinterest fan too. Love a lot of things on there, but mostly the recipes.

I did my big clean in the winter, now it's mostly trying to maintain. Not easy with a messy hubby, two pups and two cats.

The original Pinterest?! Nice! I always love your organizing tips, Debbie! I do a little cleaning every week, and a little more every month. Spring cleaning usually waits for a refreshingly warm day when the windows can be open and the house aired out.
