Finger Food...

I love finger food, appetizers and what we call at my house,
"lil picky foods"!

I have been "playing" in the kitchen
and here's two fun things I came up with.

 Taco Cups

I took soft taco shells and cut them down, just a little,
keeping them round,
so once they are mushed in to muffin cups, they fit snugly.

I filled the cups about half way with the leftover taco meat,
from dinner the night before.
Added a small amount of diced sweet onion, topped with a taco cheese blend.
In to a 350 degree oven, for I have no idea how long.
I just kept checking them and I pulled them out when they were
brown and crispy.

When they come out of the oven, they look like this,
I should have added a little more taco meat, as it really settled,
but left plenty of room for all the yummy toppings.
We used diced tomatoes, lettuce and sour cream.
YuM, I give this a 10 out of 10!!

Next up, Grilled Cheese, my way!

 Start with this, easy, peezy...

Flatten a slice of bread, off with the crusts...roll it up,

next time you see it, it will look like this.

Slather those babies with butter,
cookem' up just like you would a grilled cheese,
just roll them, no flipping.

These were really good, they get a 9 out of 10!

Both of these recipes were inspired by Pinterest but switched
up quite a bit!!

Who else is having fun in the kitchen??
Is there anyone else out there who is inspired by Pinterest??

WOW!! Those both look so good. I have never seen the cheese wrapped in ham in our stores here. I will be on the lookout for it!

Love me some Pinterest! I tried two new recipes this weekend - one crock pot soup one that was really good! Will post Monday. The "grilled cheese" look amazing - we are newly addicted to Prosciutto at my house!

Yay for you. I saw the grilled cheese on Pinterest, but it was made a little differently. I'm thinking about making them the next time my little guys are here.

These look really tasty! I'm going to have to try them if I can find the the prosciutto. I don't do much on Printerest and never recipes because I don't cook that much.

I noticed that the store the other day they had these tiny tortillas. They would be perfect for this, I will try this as it does look so yummy. I have guests coming six and under so I think they would like it.
The other looks good too.
I did play yesterday in the kitchen but I just made cranberry bread, cookies and granola bars. The granola bars are walnut and date and they keep calling my name. At least you made good food. :)
So yummy. Yes, I do pin food all of the time.

Ymmmmm, Yummmmm, Oh, I want to eat the screen on my laptop (again). The recipe is going on my list, in both the main dish and the appetizers. I gained 15 pounds between Halloween candy and Christmas Fudge and New years Eve appetizers and New years Day buffets.... Thanks Debbie (as usual your photos are awesome!)

Hi Debbie, I am back to answer your question about visiting the dc botanic garden. They had already removed all the Christmas decorations so there was no train to see. They may have been taking them down as there was a section closed off.

Well, and how good isn't this looking to taste :)
I get hungry now. I really like the way you did with the cheesy toast.

It can be something like this to eat today.
Thank you for good inspiration :)

These look yummy! I like those muffin taco cups especially--you could put all kinds of things in there for a neat snack or meal.

I look at Pinterest sometimes, but I don't often transfer my looking to doing. :-)

Enfes oldu.
tarif için teşekkürler Türkiye'den sevgiler
