If you want pretty Tulips in the Spring,
you have to prepare now!!
The hubs loves Spring Bulbs, Tulips mostly and he loves red and yellow.
I voted for purple and white,
you will soon see how that vote ended,
and trust me, you will be very surprised.
Once the "prep" work is done, I didn't get a before picture,
but this garden was a mess of weeds.
He uses a power tool and those bulbs go in pretty quickly.
A total of 300 bulbs were planted, all around the front yard,
red and yellow!!
It's serious work kids and
he loves seeing those little surprises popping up in Spring...
and don't you think it's about time he won at something??
I do!!

I always mean to plant tulips, and then completely forget - thanks for the reminder! Billy and I wrapped up some fig plantings a friend gave us this weekend, fingers crossed they take and come back next year!
Thinking about spring:)))... Yikes what is spring?:)
HI Debbie.... It was nice of you to let the Hubby have his way, and he looks so happy who could refuse that face : ))
That's a lot of tulips WOW better he then me planting them!!
All I have been doing is yard work all week, no time to think spring, its all winter preparation for me!!

Nice to see that Hubby tulip plant.
Are tulips fom Holland?
Greetings, RW & SK
I tried to plant a few tulips two springs ago. The squirrels dug them up. Since then I was told to put 'chicken wire' over the bulbs to prevent the digging. Next spring we're going to do some serious landscaping...maybe next fall!!
Good photo's have you made.....i like tulips very much....are they from Holland ?
Greetings from the land of tulips, Joop
The red and yellow will be pretty next spring!
The red and yellow will be beautiful next summer!
You could have put in some purple too, and had a 3 colour tulip garden ;)
I love flowers from bulbs. My husband also likes to do the fall prep work. Unfortunately, for the past few years, the squirrels have snatched many bulbs, and the tulips were a bit sparse.
Debbie you will have such fun in the spring. I can't wait to see them then.
I need to get my planted too.
i knew you'd let him win. you have the cutest gardener ever... :)
hahaha - you're cute! I like all colors, definitely not picky there, I just need someone to do all that planting.
Hmmmm... I think you are playing with the Hubs. Letting him 'win' and all. I am sensing that he will be planting purple and white azaleas or such in the not so distant future...
Debbie, spring is wonderful.
I love tupipany and all the spring flowers.
I send greetings.
Lucia
Hello Debbie ! You will have a lot of colors in the garden.
I think this will be wonderful :)
I guess we should be thinking of spring if we are going to plant some bulbs this year. We planted our first ones last year and they were so beautiful. I will look forward to the pictures you will take of these freshly planted bulbs.
I loved the pictures of your hubby hard at work planting.
Blessings!
I'm already looking forward to all those pictures you will be posting showing these Tulips.
What a wonderful sight to look forward to. The deer have eaten all of my tulip bulbs.
Oh, you are a sweetie to go with his color scheme! 300 tulips will be spectacular next spring! This reminds me that I need to plant some bulbs. I never think about it --- until spring. :-)
Hi Debbie, I've not visited in such a long time. I'm just back from a great holiday in the USA - had a wonderful time :))
Your garden is going to look great with all of that wonderful colour come the Spring. Spring seems such long time!!
Wow, 300? Those are going to be gorgeous!
I like the spring flowers, but I don't like messing with bulbs. I can't wait to enjoy the photos of yours come spring!
Please him!
Well done, friend! Great job..truly, tulips look beautiful and hope, these make your garden more beautiful.
Thanks.
Awww, you are so sweet to give in. I am sure it will look lovely in the spring. I am looking forward to spring already. Have a happy day!

And red and yellow is such a lovely combination in the spring!! Actually, by spring, I will have forgotten what I planted...
I can't wait to see them! Tell your hubby to head on over to Ohio and he can plant me so red and yellow tulips .. :)
I haven't even successfully rallied the troops to clear the weeds - forget bulbs.
We planted our blubs about 2 weeks ago. Now I can't wait 'til Spring. We planted over 200. MB
Wow that's a lot of red/yellow but they will be so beautiful come spring. - We planted bulbs too (lots of Daffodils and several colors of Tulips) I believe I have one with a purplish shade to it. When they bloom I'll share. - Can't wait to see your hubby's hard work paying off.
