A Great Egret, with attitude,
searching for his prey.
An intense fisherman,
determined and slightly wind blown...
on October 27th, "Sandy" was just starting to stir things up!

I was reading about white Egrets. Did you know in 1900 they were almost extinct because people used their feathers for hats and stuff?
I thought that was really interesting. I am glad they didn't go the way of the Carrier Pigeon. Great Photos!
Perhaps the egret sensed the pending hurricane and that's the reason he was on a feeding mission. Great photos.
"Walk This Way"....very good! :)

Nice photos, the first one is my favorite. He does look like he's on a mission!
Oh I love the Great Egret I seen one once in a swamp not far from here last year. It is very unusual for them to cross the border I think it has something to do with passports or something:)
Anyway could be true all I know is I loved seeing it it sure was pretty as you have shown here. Great shots. HUGS B
