I Love New Jersey

I love the Jersey Shore...
I live in Central New Jersey, Ocean County, to be exact.
I am right in the center of everything this beautiful state has to offer.
And, we offer a lot.

We are NOT The House Wives of New Jersey
We are not "juice heads" from The Jersey Shore.

New Jersey caters to the outdoors and nature.
To our beautiful beaches, parks, hiking and biking trails.

We always have amazing fairs and festivals.
Without leaving this state, there is always something amazing to do or see.

Last night, the hubs and I were in Ocean Grove and Asbury Park.
For the usual suspects, dinner, a bike ride and a walk along the ocean.

From the boards, looking out to the Pier in Ocean Grove,
it started getting a little cloudy.

But I was not going to let a little rain spoil my ride!!

The boardwalk is wide, the Victorian homes are gorgeous,
and that sky is getting really dark. We moved forward.

The moon was full, the view was gorgeous!!

The hubs and I
It's a little silly to write that, I'm pretty sure you guys know us.

They were having a bon fire on the beach in Asbury Park,
do you see how cool this place is.
There were lot's of drummers and dancers on the right of this picture..

This was my favorite image of the evening so I'm sharing it with

Oh Debbie you live in one beautiful place. If I did not know any better in the last shot I would think it was snow instead of sand.
I bet it was hard to pick your favourite photo:) B

Debbie, beautiful images of your home state of NJ. I love the beach shots, the bonfire looks like fun. I also love the last shot, but the one of you and your hubs is cute too. Have a great weekend!

Beautiful pictures! You are so lucky to live near the ocean and can enjoy it so.

I spent a while comparing the first and last captures, and decided I prefer the first one - take out the ugly snow fence and add the clouds! But my favourite is the shot with the moon!!

Great shots! You are right, we are not all like the Real Housewifes, etc, in NJ! You should add your fence shot to the Friday's Fences meme.

Your happiness is infectious!

Great shots Debbie, it does look a lovely place to visit. I really like your 2nd shot - what a great place to ride your bike. Oh dear - that's another place for me to want to visit.
That list is growing daily, lol.

I visited New Jersey once, the year I graduated from high school. Not telling the year. lol My BIL was stationed at McGuire AFB and we visited my sister and him there. You do live in a beautiful state.

I think that New Jersey often gets a bad rap when all one sees of it is driving through NYC or going to the Newark airport. It is beautiful! These photos prove it.

Looks like a beautiful place... I've always wanted to see the sites in the northeast... are those single family homes? They're HUGE, my goodness!

So jealous!! I would love to live near the ocean. Love to. Your shots of the dunes and pier are very good. So picturesque and I bet those homes are gorgeous too. Thank you for sharing.
I have to admit though that I am addicted to the "housewives" ive never seen Jersey shore but I am quite sure that neither show accurately portrays the people of NJ.
thank you for sharing your home state with us.

It's wonderful to love where you live ~ quite the blessing, I think! And I agree, that last photo is sublime.

Your photos are awesome. Such beautiful scenes, even the cloudy sky.
Oh how I would love to live near the beach. I am not so sure about the bike rides, but walking would be a joy and an everyday thing.
Maybe some day....

Unfortunately, any time I hear "Jersey Shore" I think of that stupid MTV reality show. I'm glad to see how it really is. Your photos are beautiful!

Hard not to love a place along the ocean, or as you NJ folks like to call it, the shore. Sweet shots.

I absolutely loved that image too - the little bit of haze just added more mystique to it :D)
