flock together!!
I saw these beautiful Northern Mockingbirds at Lake of the Lilies, while I was "duck hunting"!
I was not having much "duck luck", so I turned the camera to the trees,
where there were a lot of birds flying around.
I heard the Mockingbird, before I saw it.
The Mockingbird is a familiar, gray, long tailed bird and an accomplished songster.
mainly because of it's affinity for people.
Seldom seen far from houses,
it has flourished since its introduction to North America, first to New York City in the mid 19th century.
A very common bird we see year round here.

Hello,
Great captures of the Mockingbird and the Sparrows. Take care, enjoy your day!
Two beauties! Great photos! I have never seen either of these birds. Thank you for sharing, Debbie.
I would love a mockingbird of my very own. LOL Oh those little sparrows, noisy things. But such company in winter. A tough bird, to be so tiny. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
We have mockingbirds, which sing a lot of other birds' songs. You think you're in a crowd of birds then find it's one mocker!
Great pix as always. Our male house sparrows have black bibs, perhaps a different species.
I don't think I have seen photos of a mockingbird. I always think of the novel, 'To Kill a Mockingbird' when anyone mentions one. How, I would love to see one up close and hear it's song.
I'm still waiting to see a catbird here!
Wonderful photos! The mockingbirds have been a bit scarce here lately, but there are a few House Sparrows around.
hehehehe, i am sad to say, you will be waiting a bit while yet!!
