He Use To Play With Tinker Toys...

lincoln logs and erector sets...but now he plays with the real thing!

This is the 6th and final building on the 7 acre plot of land we own in Lakewood, NJ.
This is a Pole Barn,
we hire a great company from out in Pennsylvania, New Frontier Builders,
to put up the frame.
These guys are amazing, dedicated workers, that drive over 3 hours, each way, every day.
When they are finished, the building will be inclosed, the roof and siding will be on,
and also all of the small man doors.
The hubs acts as a general contractor, hiring all of the sub-contractors,
a mason, electrician, plumber, garage doors...everything needed to complete the building.
He is also there most days, overseeing all of the work.
It is an overwhelming task, just to obtain the proper permits takes months
of phone calls and hard work.

We already have tenants for the building, all of our other spaces are rented as well.
There is a great need for office, warehouse units in this town, and that is what we offer.
Each building has a different number of spaces depending on it's size, and location on the property.
At this point now, the property is considered a small business park, and that sounds about right!

hehehehehe, that's what he tells everyone, but it's not really true. a few years go by between putting the buildings up, he thinks he is retired, but what do you think??? NOT!!!

Debbie, That is an awesome barn. Our sil and daughter just had a pole barn built in their little burg. It's the nicest place in town. My daughter says they may build a house near it ans sell their old place. They own five properties in the "Hooterville." Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Hooray for those small childhood games that helped us along our way! It's an awesome building and so cool when the new tenants can actually watch their building come to life!

That is looking great, how long does it take to build something of that size? Oh no, OUCH!--about the tooth, gosh I hope they have a cancellation and can get you in sooner. I had the same thing and it was awful painful and they pulled a bunch of teeth. Did they put you on antibiotics while you wait for your appt? Your scarf in the previous post is so pretty! Yeah, when the water in the pools heats up later on in the summer, it's not quite as refreshing is it? Even the ocean water here heats up like that too, it feels like bath water. I guess you could just pretend your pool is a really big hot jacuzzi?! LOL Take care of that tooth situation my friend! Hugs

Very impressive building! I'd like to have one just a quarter of that size!

Wow, now that is dedication to your job when you will drive 3 hours to go to it. Looks like a very good size place too! When you find good workers it is good to stick with them, so great that they will come all that way!

This was an especially awesome post. It's nice to know and see what your Hubby is involved with. Wow, this is an incredible building. I know your husband has many skills but this adds even more to all he does. I think he is amazing too.
Blessings and hugs for this one!

Really neat pictures of this construction. I wouldn't want to be up there on that building though, (fear of heights).
