Saturday Critters ~ 242 ~

I didn't take many pictures of the birds this week.
Nonetheless, I keep their feeders full and the water in the bird bath clean.

First up are some pretty pictures of a Mourning Dove.
Sitting right outside the window,
I was sure she would take flight by the time I got up,
got the camera, checked the settings and opened the window.
Much to my surprise,
she was still sitting there after all that and I was able to capture these 3 pictures.

Next are the Catbirds, so sweet and super easy to photograph.

The female house finch is another bird that is very easy to photograph.
Not as flashy as the male but their feather pattern is beautiful.

This was my favorite capture this week!

Lovely shots Debbie. I haven't heard the coo of my morning doves this morning. Time to open the windows :)

I'd say you took quite a bunch, but the best of all is your first one, that sweet Mourning Dove has such a wonderful expression!

These are beautiful pictures of the birds, Debbie. The mourning doves in my garden usually fly away and I seldom get a good shot of them. I adore the catbird; we don't have them here. They look so cute.

Debbie - super shots this week. The turtle dove is truly precious - I have always admired the sleek beauty of their breast feathers … I also like the shot of the house finch preening. Cool.

Oh my dear friend; you hit it on this one. I always love your bird photos and these are spectacular. I always love photos of the Mourning Dove and Catbird are beautiful. However, I really loved the female House Finch photos today. I can really see the lovely pattern.
Blessings and hugs for this one!

Wow that is amazing the dove stayed there through all that, I know I can't open a door or window without the birds flying away :( Plus this year we have so many mosquitos, so we don't dare have the doors or windows open for too long. Terrific pics!

We don't have catbirds here so it's a real treat to see yours along with all of your other beauties!
