The Cosmos Are Blooming...

Cosmos are showy annuals, with bowl shaped flowers and long stems.
They are great cut flowers and they will attract birds and butterflies to your garden.

And to me, they are lovely and old fashioned, too.

Our cosmos are only good in the spring. It gets too hot here I guess. Or it could just be me.
Your are beautiful.

Beautiful, Debbie! I hope you don't feel "sorry" for me when you see my teeny tiny roses. It ain't my fault; it's the grasshoppers. :)

They really provide a lot of color and beauty for not too much effort ... at least that's how I remember them from back when we gardened.

I love these flowers, especially the white ones.
I started mine from seeds this year, and I have many wonderfully big, green, and healthy plants, but so far, only 2 flowers.
Hopefully they are just taking their time.
xo.

Well all the pictures are wonderful but #3 and #4 were heart stoppers. It all looks so pretty never thought about it being hot.

They are so beautiful Debbie, and a wonderful addition to any garden. I wish I could grew them, but I have had no luck with Cosmos.

In our previous garden, we let the cosmos bloom willy nilly wherever they wanted -- more or less anyway.

I love the photos of these beatufiul flowers. They look so much like the flowers that I used to make dolls out of when I was little. These would be the dresses for them. You are just such an amazing photographer. I still think you should be a professional.
Hugs for this one!
