We don't live in Spring Lake - but we spend a lot of time there.
We ride our bikes around the lake and up on the boardwalk along side the ocean.
They have the cutest downtown, lots of small mom and pop shops.
It's a "beachy" community, bikes, surfboards and everyone walks around with sand on their bare feet.
This year, for the first time, we decided to attend their Christmas Tree lighting ceremony!
WoW!! They sure do light the tree with a lot of fanfare -
the hubs and I had such a nice time.
There were carolers...
tiny dancers...
and big dancers.
And the cast of Scrooge performed.
Then there was Santa...
arriving over the crowd, atop a fire truck!!
The town also provided free hay rides with Christmas music playing.
We rode all around town, many of the homes were already decorated for Christmas.
After the tree lighting festivities, we visited a beautiful train display,
that's another post, for another day.

Before heading home, we drove past the

Hello, the Christmas ceremony is lovely. I always love the Christmas lights at night. Just beautiful. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
WOW, that is the way to kick off the season. Beautiful. What a great place to visit. My Hero would love that Case tractor ;) Hug B
I would have loved to see all that...
Now this is what this time of year is all about ...
Fabulous, everyone having fun.
Thought the cast of Scrooge looked good!
All the best Jan
Smallish towns at their best!!!
Looks like fun!!! and so festive... Yuma always has a tree lighting... We've never gone...and it will probably be over when we get there...(we traveled 14 hours today...are about half way there:) We will have to go look at lights at least!.... It's hard for me to get in the Christmas spirit down there...as I associate it with cold and snow:) So Christmas in sandals and shorts.... is very different.
Wow, this is a very festive Christmas tree lighting event. I loved the tiny and big dancers, Santa Claus and just all of it. You really captured it all on camera. I do love Christmas; so this looked like such a fun moment for the two of you! Blessings and hugs!
That looks like a lot of fun. I haven't seen anything like it in a long time.
I bet the santa girls were cold
Oh, that looks like fun! Love the light display! My favorite time of year.
Oh what a wonderful celebration and gets one into the Christmas spirit. Thank you for sharing...love all the beautiful lights at this time of year!
Oh Debbie that looks like a fantastic way to kick off the Christmas season, fun shows and all the pretty lights, some people just go all out don't they, we are not quite that ambitious here ;) outline the house and some net lights on the bushes and garland around the post leading to our front door and we are good :)
Wow that town really goes all out! The hay ride would be such a wonderful way to view the lights and decorations. Briliant idea. Thanks so much for your kind comments ... my hands are healing .. i am getting better at typing with my left hand on my (with a stylus) but it is much slower..
Ah, what fun! Hubby drove into town to get me a pizza. I've a cold and feel horrid.
He ended up detouring due to the dang parade, in the dark!
I don't know why they can't dress the dancers a bit more in the cold! There used to be a home that could be seen from the interstate that had the music, too. Then they moved away. It was such a bright spot!
