Yarn Along

I had a shameful knitting week...

only finishing 30 rows or so on my Guernsey Wrap.

The birds nose points to this weeks starting point,
I completed "Chart B" and have now moved on to "Chart C" of the pattern.

Had I not fallen asleep at 8 pm last night, this would be less shameful.

My knitting teacher Leanne once mentioned to me that when I vacation,
I should buy yarn from a local yarn shop.
I always try to do that.
When I was in Mystic I found "Mystic River Yarns" and purchased this yarn for a scarf.

The color is different from what I usually buy,
but I love it...
and those pretty blue flexs will be pretty "pop-up surprises" as I knit!

I am joining Ginny at Small Things

Yarn Along

What a neat idea. I love your wrap. I also really love your new colors. My son's girlfriend brought back a lovely scarf for me from Peru. It is baby Alpaca. My goodness, you can't believe how wonderfully soft it is.
I do love wool of any type. Have a nice week Debbie.

yay!!!! Souvenir knitting is my favorite. The whole time you knit with that green yarn you will think of your trip. Then when you wear it...same thing. It's my color green! Love that apple, limey, citron green. Happy knitting!!!!!

No shame in going to sleep early. Unless, of course, you are driving!

The new yarn is lovely. I think 30 rows is pretty good and it continues to look so good. When you fall asleep doing something it means you need the sleep. Take good care of yourself, good friend. Blessings and hugs~

p.s. Speaking as a non-knitter, your 30 rows looks beautiful and impressive :)

I like the look of the new yarn too.

All the best Jan

I wouldn't know where a local shop for yarn would be in my area. My wife has gotten a few (never did much with it) but it was always walmart or a hobby place

oh my - you just keep surpassing yourself! I so LOVE this wrap - all the patterns! Take your sweet time, it's worth it! And my favorite part is your creativity in photographing the yarns and projects and telling your story!

But the 30 rows you did do are simply beautiful, Debbie! :-)
I love the color of your new yarn, and the blue flecks were the first things that caught my attention.

Yes, very nice work. I took a long break from knitting but I got back to it this summer on vacation. Still love it. I look forward to seeing your finished work, it's going to be beautiful.

Well there's nothing wrong with putting your needles down and enjoying other things! You will have plenty of knitting time all winter long!
