On September 4th as the Jersey Shore prepared for hurricane Hermine,
this was the view of our beautiful beaches here.
It was Labor Day weekend and the beaches were closed.
No swimming, no sunbathing, no admittance on to the beaches for any reason.
But that did not keep the people away.
It was a gorgeous day and the boardwalks were crowded.
The new dunes that were planted after
Super Storm Sandy
have been replenished several times.
I have not been down to the beach but apparently there was a lot of beach erosion from Hermine.
I'll have to visit for some pictures to see if these protection fences did their job!!

Nice place to visit. The weather looks fantastic.
Ooooh, love that first shot! Beautiful!
LOVE LOVE your beach it is so so pretty. I am glad Hermine moved on. Hug B
Fotografias magnificas.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

Love those skies. We get that kind of blue only in the winter when the humidity gets below 1000%. Summer with the humidity, we get a robin egg blue which is nice too. But to look up at that azure is a treat.
Hello Debbie, awesome beach shots. The sky is such a pretty blue. Happy Thursday, enjoy your weekend ahead!
It sure was a nice weekend. I bet the riptides were rocking and rolling that day.
Me alegro mucho que lo del huracán, haya sido solo un susto.
Tenéis unas playas bellísimas.
Un cordial saludo.

How pretty it looked. What blue skies! Such a pretty place you live in Debbie. Have a lovely day.
Gorgeous views of the sea and beach.
Breathtaking!!
Gorgeous blue sky and sea and lovely area photos!
Happy Week to you ~ ^_^
A good fence with beautiful sea background. Beautiful pictures
I have been to see you, Debbie.
Besos.
Those beautiful dune fences are one of the memories that will always stay with me from our one (sob, only) trip up the Eastern Coast. I hope they WERE good fences and did their job.
It's a beautiful view and great place to walk! Love those fences too! Hugs!
How nice to see you beach. Dunes are so important for protecting the land against potential ravages by storm waves from the sea. We, here in Holland, can't without dunes. What a beautiful blue sky!
Beautiful blue skies ...
What a lovely place to walk.
Fabulous photo's Debbie, thank you.
All the best Jan
I'd love to walk on that boardwalk. Too far away though. I live inland and very rarely see the ocean unless it is in Oregon or California.
Super pretty shots of the beach & it's grasses. Hoping the storm damage wasn't too bad.
gosh, those are pretty views...
Beautiful photos of the Jersey shore. Wow what a bright blue sky. I'm originally from NJ and spent many vacations down the shore.
that's a beautiful day at the beach
the beach is one of my favorite places to be.
nothing beats a beautiful sunny day with a gentle breeze and glorious waves.
thank you for this lovely post!
many blessings to you <3

What a wonderful place to live near!
Gorgeous view! Beautiful blue sky!
I love the lines created by the fences, beach, water and sky. That dark blue water is gorgeous! Hope those fences id what they were supposed to!
The beach looks great, such a shame that the last weekend of the summer couldn't have been spent on the beach but I can understand being careful and ready for anything. Hope that everything is in good shape the next time you go down.
I like the idea that they put up protection fances to protect the beaches. You did get some great photos of it. The beach looks so good. It has been such a long time since I have been on a beach. Blessings and hugs!
I thought it looked like that grass was planted, rather than growing naturally. I still envy you the beach!
