Saturday Critters ~ 144 ~

I spotted this Snowy Egret over Labor Day weekend as we were Egret hunting.
I was not able to get close to it so I thought I would say this was part of my
"new perspective" photography...but really, it wasn't.
In order for me to get closer to capture better images, swimming would have been involved,
and since I didn't have my bathing suit we are going to have to settle for these.

I enjoyed watching this little one, he seemed quite happy, dancing around, toes pointed.

As you can see, there was a Great White Egret as well,
I don't think it ever moved or changed position.
Which means...you guessed it,
I have about 50 images that all look the same!
One legged I might add!

They are the masters of grace and beauty, and excellent fishing buddies! Hahaha!

You caught such great poses that's for sure, I love that the one was so active and the other one never moved. It amazes me how they stand on just one foot also. I need to google that and see why they do that, I have noticed that on our outings too :)

I didn't even realize the two were different sizes! And there is a cormorant, I think in the background! They ride so low in the water!
I do love the pointy toes in that first photo!

Enjoyed your photos of the egrets! They are beautiful birds. If you had swam out to see them...you could write a whole additional blog post about your experience staying afloat without getting your camera wet. After seeing what you and your husband did at the falls nothing would shock me. ;)
