Blowing the Stink Off!!!

Even when you are not feeling so great...
it may be necessary to go for a ride in the car...
if for no other reason than to blow the stink off!!

I love Asbury Park
and I read on Facebook that they have bizarres in
Convention Hall on Saturday nights.
I have been wanting to go, and it was Saturday night,
so off we went...

On a side note, there will not be any bizarre pictures,
the bizarre's were on Saturday's in June,
and yes, I was over a month late and missed them.
boo - hoo

Still there is plenty to see and do in Asbury Park,
they have been adding to the mural displays
and I have been wanting to go and see the new additions.

Inside the maze reads..."Protect Her Glory"

The old Carousel

and this gentleman.
I watched him for a few minutes and then took a picture.

I knew he was real but wow, he was really good at being a statue.
The hubs walked behind me and whispered in my ear...
"I saw him blink"!!!

I'm so glad I went for a ride!!

I am glad you went for that ride also Debbie. You got to share these great photos. I thought that last picture WAS a statue until I read your caption. Here's hoping you feel better this morning.

Hello Debbie, I am glad you got out for a ride. Wonderful series of photos. The murals are so cool, I like the yellow sub, it reminds me of the Beatles song. The live statue is neat. I hope you feel better soon!
Have a happy Monday and a great new week ahead!

Sometimes you just need to get out of the house. I know how much better I feel when I just get away.
I love your pictures. I hope you are back to normal soon.

Reminds of the Boss singing about Asbury Park! Great photos. I wonder how long those 'statues' have to remain still. Glad you had a good time!

Me too! And I'll have to remember that expression - blowing the stink off! Those 'live' people statues kinda freak me out....this one has a real Charlie Chaplin vibe going!

"Blowing the stink off"--heard that a few years ago and was a first for me. I always think of that phrase when I open all the windows and door in my house. LOL What a lovely place to tour. I could read the words inside the maze--loved it!!

There are so many talented artists out there! The old carousel and human statue are pretty cool. We have those in New Orleans, mostly spray painted metallic silver or gold. They do expect tips if you take a photo. I don't mind as they are providing entertainment. How they survive the brutal summers doing that, I'll never understand.

You'll have to go back next year and share the bizarre because you've got me curious now! Looks like you had a really fun blast anyway, blowing off the stink is wonderful too. I do like that statue man, street entertainer whatever, I wish we had more of them around here!

Sorry you were too late for the bizarre, but it looks like you had an interesting time non the less. It amazes me the work they can do on the side of buildings and the carousel has such wonderful architecture!!

I loved this ride a long! The shots are great and the colors spectacular. However, I am not a huge fan of this kind of art. I liked the photos of the buildings which I can see have a history. The statue man was terrific. I have seen some people do this and I don't know how they stand and not move at all.
Enjoyed this one! Blessings and hugs and I hope you are feeling better.
