When we were children, it was all about fun...
smiles, kickball, walking barefoot in the grass, and laughing so hard,
we would spit milk out our noses.
My spirit was undeniable.
I think we lose a little of that as we grow older.
We mature and have kids,
we work and become responsible and we lose a little of
that spontaneous joy.
We no longer do the things we did as kids.
I want to fly a kite, kick a ball and lay in the grass,
just for the heck of it.

i noticed hot air balloon is back on the list. and helicopter ride and horseback, too! you go, girl!
I'm going to make my list TODAY! We have been trying to visit a lot of our state parks here in Florida and what fun we've been having . There are great websites to find out what's in your area. Happy Spring! HAVE FUN!

I like this a lot! It's almost always summer here in SW FL..... And I firmly believe in keeping my inner child active. (I figure I'll never be in my second childhood if I never left my first, right? )

Wow, that is some list. I have been to a few of those places and they are great. I don't know if I'd want to take a helicopter ride or a hot air balloon ride, though. I know some take the balloon rides at The New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Readington in July. You're braver than I am :)
BTW, if you want to visit the cherry blossoms in Newark, Saturday should be fine. Many haven't really bloomed yet :) It's a gorgeous park, but I must warn you, get there early to get a parking space. The park will be packed :)
You've inspired me! I think we should all give this a whirl, if not just for the heck of it- for a blast of a lifetime right!
That looks like a fun list! I'm almost tempted to borrow it--though it wouldn't be very practical living here in the Midwest! To start the year off I asked my family members to each write down 10 or so ideas for neat things to do this year. Then I compiled the lists together (without names) and give the master list to everyone to rate each activity on a scale of 1-10 to declare their interest in each idea. There were some pretty wild ideas proffered (like canoeing around the world), but we have succeeded in checking a few off the list--most recently going canoeing in the Iowa River and singing in a choir! Have fun!

These are all super FUN items to do this summer- except for helicopter ride..I don't know why, but those contraptions scare me..even though I think they are awesome rides. I hope you get to cross off everything on your list. Life is absolutely too short to sit around wishing to do something and then not.

Yes! I love your list. Helicopter ride jumped out at me--I'd like to do that too. Putting a list together is such a good idea--it's so easy to let time get away from us without plans.
