Good Fences ~ Edition 45 ~

 Here's a peek at Bradshaw Beach in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey

As a teenager, I worked across the street from this beach.

Each day, after work, I spent my afternoons here, with my best friend.

 All the dunes were destroyed by Super Storm Sandy.

They have rebuilt them but they have a long way to go.

This house is ocean front, it was here 40 years ago when I spent my summers here.

It was destroyed by the storm.

This is how it looks today, more than 2 years later.

When you hear on television that everythings o.k. at the Jersey Shore,

don't believe it.

Devastation is still everywhere and it breaks my heart to post this picture of 

someones home.

Hawk Eye's...

 He and I!!

 Here he sees me and thinks about taking off.

 He "relives" himself...

 moons me...

 and gets ready for lift-off!

 The hubs and I were at the banks drive thru
 when I spotted this guy.
There was some jumping out of the car, brisk walking,
at the time, all eyes were on me.

I am not the driver, I'm always the look-out...

The hubs calls me Hawk Eyes!!

On the same day, I also spotted this unusual white goose,
hanging out with a group of Canadian Geese!

Knits, Greatest Hits!!

This past Spring, I learned how to knit!

Signing up for and attending those classes, was one of the best decisions, 

I've made in a long time.

 I took my classes here at Arrow Acres Alpaca Farm

We sat outside, with an awesome view of the Alpaca's.

 Here is a picture of my first project, my teacher Leanne got me stared.

 The table was covered with this gorgeous handmade tablecloth,

instead of flowers, our centerpiece was a pretty vase, 
filled with knitting needles.

It's all in the details.

I have come a long way since my first "practice" piece.

I've knitted 2 scarves, and 24 hats.

I am so proud to share with everyone, some of my favorites.

Here I am on the farm, knitting.

I haven't a doubt in my mind, that I will be knitting forever but,

I'm ready to move forward from hats and branch out in to something new.

I signed up for another class next month, fingerless gloves,

I'm just a tad excited!!

We are expecting 2 feet of snow and blizzard like conditions today.

I am so lucky that I am able to bunker down and stay home.

I will probably make homemade chicken noodle soup

and grilled cheese...that's our snow storm food!

And it will be an awesome day to enjoy my feathered friends,

some crafting and cooking.

I love snow, how about you guys...

Saturday Critters ~ 58 ~

They swarmed the car...

beep, beep...no one moved...

I couldn't open the door, I couldn't get out...

I guess they thought I came with food.

I have read on-line that it is o.k. to feed them bread and lettuce.

But there were signs,

"Do not feed the Water Fowl"

you all know that I follow the rules...

* smile *

I had to take all the pictures from inside the car, but it worked,

and I didn't get cold!

 Bye bye, so long, farewell, thanks for nothing!!
