The Bombers Are Back...

Does anyone remember James? And his story that I shared here.

The Bombers were back at Allaire Airport,
I got to see the planes but I did not see James.
I thought about him a lot and I hope he is well.

We were in Ocean Grove on August 25th,
enjoying the tents and the bubble lady.
The Bombers were flying overhead, so I knew where we were going next.

 To see them, of course.

They come to the Allaire Airport every year.

If you are interested in these rare and historic bombers,

 from World War II
you can read more about them here.

They offer rides in the bombers, $ 450.00 for a half hour.

 The Betty Jane

I love this shot of the guy popping out of the top,

The Witchcraft

I think I fell asleep on the way home...it was a long, fun, action packed day!

Great shots of the bombers! My sister has read and told me so many stories of World War II bombers and their crews--would be neat to see some one day...today, at least, I get to see them through your blog!

Those are impressive bombers! I'd like to see them, too. You caught some great photos of them. I like the one where you are right under one flying over.

They look fantastic against the sky! The noise would have been too much for me, though. Glad you had a good, but exhausting, day!

Fantastic old aircraft! I really like the Witchcraft! We've had a bomber at our airport you could ride in, too, but it was a bit too pricey for my liking.

It would be neat to ride in one just for the sake of history. But $450 for 30 minutes is waaay more than I can afford. Oh well...

Before we moved north, we were near the Oshkosh Experimental Air Association. They have a convention every year. We often saw old 'war birds' and home made air craft flying over and near our home. That week always made me nervous, I feared they would fall out of the sky.... don't laugh, some did!!!

Those are really cool looking and you got some really great shots. Sometimes planes like that land here as we have a very long landing strip at our airport and it's often used for test pilots of all kinds. So glad you had such a good time.

We missed this show when we were living in NJ, Debbie. It's a shame too since Allaire was not very far from our Beachwood home. Thanks for showing the majesty of these aircraft.

What some great pictures of the bombers. I went back to look at the story on James. My husband collects model planes; so he would enjoy seeing these.
Blessings for some fantastic pictures!
