Who's Ready?!?!
I didn't do much decorating for fall.
I don't decorate for Halloween, I only put out fall themed items,
that can stay out until Thanksgiving.
I add turkeys and pilgrims if I have the "spirit" to do so.
Here's the sofa table in the family room.
Greetings in the entry way!
Candy for the little ones...there will be leftovers for the hubs.
He loves Snickers and Reese's so we always buy those.
Front door, inside wreath.
I always open up the scrapbooks on the coffee tables,
to display pages from a previous season!
Counted cross stitch wall decor.
I made this for my boys when they were little.
I wish I had dated it.
Kitchen Table
One side of the television table in the living room...
here's the other side.
I am still working on the Autumn/Fall Bucket List.
It's so fun.
So how about you guys, do you do much decorating for Fall?
Do you decorate separately for Halloween - Fall - Thanksgiving?
I use to do a lot more and I miss the decorations that were
left behind in boxes!!
Perhaps I will have more spirit next year!

My Favorite Color Is Autumn
Taking a moment on October 28th,
to reflect on what matters most.
I needed some time, to reflect on life.
To reflect on this man...who is so very important to me,
This man...who is the air in my lungs and the spirit in my soul!!
Yesterday, we were early for an appointment
and we stumbled across Turkey Swamp Park.
Sometimes the best things in life just fall in to your lap!

Picking the Perfect Pumpkin...
with my favorite lil pumpkin!!
Adelina, my niece's daughter.
She liked this one but she may be a tad over ambitious.
Decisions, decisions...
pumpkin picking, serious stuff!!
I choose this one!
And she had a big announcement to make...
there's going to be another pumpkin,
Addie's going to be a big sister!!

Song-ography ~ Forever Young Edition ~ 14
May sunshine and happiness,
surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true
And do unto others as you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave and in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young
May good fortune be with you, may your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven, with a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you'll always remain
Forever young...
And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell
But whatever road you choose,
I'm right behind you, win or lose...

The American Robin
I have not seen them in weeks, yesterday the yard was filled with them!!
I consider them my "Spring" birds,
as they appear first, often while snow is still on the ground.
I have always called them "Robin Red Breast", I don't know why!!
Good thing the hubs cleaned and filled the bird bath.
They were more interested in the water,
not the food buffet I had laid out!!

Six Words Friday ~ Red ~
It was love at first sight!!
That's my six words but there's a funny story attached to this teapot.
I don't love red, but when I saw this teapot, I knew I had to have it.
I checked the price...it was eighty dollars!!
omgosh are you kidding me, eighty dollars for a teapot.
"Too much" I said and I checked all the others.
Most were about twenty dollars, there were a few for thirty.
But there was something about that red teapot,
the shape, the handle, the spout and the lovely red color
I knew I had to have it.
I had a coupon for 20% off...but I wouldn't do the math.
Deep down inside I knew I was going to buy it and I didn't really
want to know the final cost!!
I justified the purchase, because it would be 20% off and therefore
reasonable, right??
It wasn't my fault we needed a new teapot, the hubs burnt the last two.
Making me tea, while I was napping...
with the whistle "up" so it wouldn't wake me.
omgosh...I am spoiled rotten!!

S'more Cups
From Pinterest
S'more Cups
7 whole graham crackers (1 cup finely crushed)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
4 bars (1.55 oz each) milk chocolate candy, divided
12 large marshmallows
Mix the graham crackers & powdered sugar,
melt the good stuff...
then combine with the other good stuff.
I used the "other" side of my mushroom cleaner,
to pack that yummy stuff in to the muffin cups.
Bake at 350 degrees for 4-5 minutes.
Cut your marshmallows in half,
(I should have used a whole marshmallow)
Break two of the candy bars into rectangles.
Place one rectangle into each cup,
and top with a marshmallow.
Return to oven for 1-2 minutes.
Cool completely...
I had a lot of trouble getting them out of the muffin pan,
they didn't stick, they just fell apart.
I drizzled melted chocolate on top.
I drizzled melted chocolate on top.
Here's the printable version...
Place 1 tablespoon of crumb mixture in each cup of a mini muffin pan. Press crumbs to form shallow cups. Bake 4-5 minutes or until edges are bubbling. Meanwhile, break two of the candy bars into rectangles. Remove pan from oven; place one rectangle into each cup.
Cut marshmallows in half crosswise using shears dipped in cold water. Place one marshmallow half, cut-side down, into each cup. Return to oven 1-2 minutes or until marshmallows are slightly softened. Remove pans from oven to cooling rack; cool 15 minutes. Carefully remove cups from pan. Cool completely.
Break remaining candy bars and place in small microwavable bowl. Microwave on high 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until melted and smooth, stirring every 20 seconds. Dip the top of each marshmallow in melted chocolate. Turn top-side up and let stand 40 to 60 minutes or until set. Makes 24 cups.
These were very yummy!!
What fun treats have you guys been baking up??
oohhhh and fyi, S'mores are on the
Autumn Bucket List, so, that's a check!!

Clouds...
come floating into my life,
not to carry rain or usher in a storm,
but to add color to my gorgeous sunset sky!!
More pictures from October 14th,
as I sat next to Jersey Girl to watch the setting sun.
It's magical, don't you agree!!
