Barn Charm #43

Here is the second image for my
Norwegian Barn Charm Series

Norway, a country rich with barns.

An interesting barn, right??

I didn't take this picture, I have never been to Norway.
I have reconnected with a childhood friend Maggie who lives in Norway.

Maggie wrote a book, Fly Away Home,
she started a blog Fly Away Home Book,
and with the help of facebook, a friendship was rekindled.

Maggie follows my blog and appreciates my love of barns.
More then 500 barns call Norway home.
Many of those barns are along the path of Maggie's morning walk.
She is photographing them for me so I can share them with you.

I know some of this is repeative from last week but
I want to be sure Maggie is feeling the love.
Next week, I will just add a link to her information.!!

That's right folks, there are a lot of next weeks!!

Sharing today with Tricia's Barn Charm

Please stop by Bluff Area Daily to see all the amazing,
charming barns from all around the world.

It's a beautiful scene. Red barn and cute silo.

Great looking barn! It appears to have a ramp leading up to the main doors. My aunt and uncle used to have several barns and one of them had a big earthen ramp at the main doors.

I love this barn. Such a small silo compared to the ones in the US. Looking forward to all the barns that Maggie is sharing.

So wonderful of Maggie to share with you so you can share with us!
Great barn! I love the ones with stone foundations and doors and windows in that foundation. The ramp is an esp. long one and that's a cool silo/roof/shute set-up.
It's interesting to see the influence of different countries in our older barns. I just took some shots of one that has obvious Dutch heritage(I hope to feature it next week). Fascinating. Of course America became the melting pot of the world, so naturally that is shown in even our barns!:>)

Thanks for a great barn picture. I love that it from Norway. Isn't it amazing how we connect with others through blogs.
There is a barn in Heber, Utah that my grandson inherited from his wife's side of the family. It is about ready to collapse. I need to take a picture of it and entitle it an Air-conditioned barn.
I will take that picture when I get up there and post it.
