I'm a little late in joining in on this bread making craze...
Late to the party really, and I am not making the trendy "sourdough bread" which is all the rage.
I found a simple recipe for a small loaf of bread...made in a similar way as sourdough bread.
This Blog
features the recipe I used.
With only 4 ingredients, no kneading, this bread is delicious.
And what better day to bake bread then when the weather is like this..
cold air, wind and heavy rain.
On Saturday we went out for breakfast at
it was so good, this bike was parked out front.
Saturday was such a beautiful fall day...we went for a drive which included a stop here...
I could smell the salt water and feel the ocean spray, yep, it's still here after the storm.
About 6 weeks ago I ordered our Advent Calenders.
This blue one is for the hubs, there is chocolate behind every door.
This Advent Calendar is mine, there are a variety of shortbread cookies behind each door.
Back in August, we talked about caring for a Christmas Cactus.
look what it has done.
It's a little skimpy but every branch has a flower coming and the plant itself looks healthier.
I found 2 new blogs that I am enjoying...
stop by and have a look, perhaps you will enjoy them as well!
~ have a great week ~

Hello Debbie,
Your bread looks delicious. I am going to give it a try.
The advent calendars are nice, chocolate and cookies both sound great to me. Your cactus plant is looking good. Have a great day and a happy week ahead.
I love rainy days like that once in a while. You are right, what a great day to stay inside and bake.
I would be in very big trouble with the shortbread advent calendar! We need a good rainy day now and then!
Dear Debbie!
I've been making beautiful bread since 2007. I buy it very rarely.
Homemade bread with delicious butter is wonderful and delicious.
Beautiful Advent calendars.
Have a wonderful and beautiful November.
Wow! You have very thick raindrops up there! Linda in Kansas
I'll have to check that bread recipe out- I love simple to make bread! I don't think I have ever seen advent calendars like these. Where did you order them from? Your cactus looks great. Mine is still chugging along, but no blooms sighted yet. Have a great week!
i ordered them on amazon, they have a huge selection and so many themes!!
Beautiful photos, Debbie, and your bread 🍞 looks delicious 😋
Wow! The rain really did come down!
Your bread looks good.
Enjoy your week.
All the best Jan
That bread has my mouth watering.. I have never tried to make bread.
The 4 ingredient bread looks easy and wonderful. I might give it a try too. I had a large beautiful Christmas Cactus that would bloom every year and brought us so much joy. When I started leaving earlier in the season for Florida, I gave it to my son and daughter in law- Now they enjoy it. I have a small one in Florida but it doesn't seem to bloom. Love the pic of the bike with the fall leaves.
A lovely series of photos Debbie. I am always late to the party but I now have made two loaves and a third one tomorrow. They are fun to do. Thank you for the link to the blogs. I enjoy discovering new ones.
I have not gotten on the bread craze but our Pastor has, she really finds it relaxing. Wow that was quite the rain fall.
Love how they decorated the bike for Autumn :). I did see all that rain they showed New Jersey getting, always wonder if it is your area.
It amazes me all the advent calendars out there. I got two for this year, both cardmaking goodies, and no I have not peeked.
How wonderful that your cactus is blooming. My miniature rose is blooming right now, brings a smile every time :)
