All summer long my hummingbird feeder has been seeing a lot of action and the hubs helps me keep it filled with sweet, fresh, water.
I have been casual about getting pictures because they are just so quick.
By the time I get the camera turned on, get the window open and get the lens focused and zoomed...
they are always gone.
The harder I tried, the more difficult it became...and the pictures were not very good.
So, I am going to do something I never do....I am sharing images, taken by me, during past summers.
These are much better than what I have been getting and are not worthy of sharing...

Gorgeous hummingbird photos ~ Wow! Thanks,

You might want to consider one of those camera that attach to the feeder, Debbie, as several bloggers have used these. We don;t have feeders now, but in VA I was never able to get any good hummingbird pics, so you did very well in previous years. They are really fast little birds.
These are fabulous photos not easy to get with these little critters always in motion. :)
I think your photos are perfect. I've tried to capture hummers with a camera, and it is not easy. I missed an opportunity today when I looked out a back window, and around a Mexican Sunflower, a hummingbird was sipping nectar. Entrancing.
These are beautiful shots.
Oh I love your hummer pics. The one with the wing outspread that you can see through is amazing. I haven't seen hummers as much this summer but I haven't been out as much either! lol Hugs!
I'm shocked these are so good. I've never been ab;e tp get a good shot!
Another thing about Hummingbirds is that they migrate across the Gulf of Mexico which is a long way for a tiny bird.
You managed some great shot, Debbie. Great post!
Delightful captures and amazing facts!
Love the photos and enjoyed reading the fascinating facts about humming birds.
Hummingbirds are amazing. Great collection of photos Debbie!
Thank you for linking up and sharing your critter post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Such a delightful post! Wish we had hummingbirds here. The fun facts were also really interesting!
Hi Debbie, excellent photos of this hummingbird. We haven't hummingbirds in the Netherlands. Have a nice day !
Hi Debbie
These are fabulous captures of the hummingbirds, well done Debbie, as it can't have been easy to get images this good when they are perpetually in motion. I learnt a lot about them also in your Hummingbird facts, thank you.
Great pictures I cannot put the nectar out as we have a bear issue and they drink it like cool-aid.
Cathy
Your hummingbird photographs are so lovely.
Many thanks for the facts about these lovely birds too.
All the best Jan
Stunning captures, Debbie.
I totally believe that, I have only got pictures of ours if I sit quietly on the deck and have the camera aimed right at them. Yesterday there was two females fighting over the same hole when the feeder had like 6 of them. You got some really nice pictures here.
As always you have spectacular bird photos.
