Saturday's Critters #426

Hello critter lovers, like last week,
I do not have any new pictures to share so I decided to continue what I started last Saturday.
Sharing favorite pictures from my archives,
picking up from where I left off last week, here are favorite birds letters D - M!

Downey Woodpecker - Male

Downey Woodpecker - Female

Goldfinch

House Finch - Male

House Finch - Female

Humming Bird Moth

Humming Bird

Junco

Mocking Bird

All of these images were taken at various times in my backyard.

- I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears, or what they'll think -

Sharing today's images with Eileen at
for Saturday Critters

I always enjoy seeing the woodpeckers and the hummer is sweet. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend. PS, thanks for leaving me a comment.

Uh, don't know if I every want to see a hummingbird moth in person; it looks like a giant bumblebee! I think your photo of the mocking bird is the first I've ever seen. Thanks. Linda in Kansas

Hello Debbie, :=) I don't see my comment here, but I did comment. This has been happening a lot lately. This is why I passed by again, and sure enough my comment isn't here. I was so impressed by your bird photos Debbie. Every one is perfectly photographed, and the detail and sharpness is incredible. They are all gorgeous, and I know how difficult it is to get the Hummingbird Hawk Moths wings to show because it's always in flight, but your capture is spot on! Lovely post Debbie.

These photos are perfect for the bird book you need to do. I loved everyone of them. I think the difference between the males and females is remarkable. I do think the Male Downey woodpecker is a beauty. However, the Goldfinch is such a cutie.
Blessings and hugs!

Fantastic photos! Your mockingbird made me realize we haven't seen any here for a while. They used to be ever present. Looking forward to seeing hummingbirds again!

Your photos of these birds are incredible. That hummingbird moth would scare the dickens out of me. I once went to an indoor butterfly exhibit and there were so many that they just land on you. I was only able to stay in the exhibit 5 minutes before I started hyperventilating and had to leave. They were beautiful but once they start landing on me my mind can't handle it. Shame because I really wanted to see the exhibit. Alas I have to settle for pictures.
