Saturday Critters ~ 340 ~

Today, the plan is to share the last of the pictures from
Six Flags Great Adventure
That said, it is sure to be a long one!
So grab a cup of joe or preferably a cup of hot tea and join me as we close the curtain on
Great Adventure!

These homes are in almost every animal area, they provide shelter for the animals at night.
I did not see them using them during the day.

Looks like a bride Emu, surrounded by her bridesmaids,
right??

The rest of the animals should be familiar,
they were all beautiful and had a lot of room to roam around.
Water and food were plentiful!

Fun Fact
Zebra have a black coat with white stripes, not the other way around as most people think.
Their coat is brown until they reach the age of 9 - 18 months.

A Black Headed Ibis which was a thrill to see.

- That's a Wrap -

I highly recommend visiting Great Adventure for their revamped drive thru safari.

They do have a lot of different animals! Beautiful photos! The longhorns, if that's what they are, are impressive! Talk about carrying some weight on your head! Very nice to see the Ibis! I can't imagine what it requires to take care of so many different species.

Hello Debbie,

What an action packed critter post. The safari park does look fun, seeing all the different animals and birds. I like the rhinos, zebra and the black-headed ibis. They are all beautiful, great photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend! PS, thanks for the comment and visit.

Looks like they have a great selection of animals and birds, those are fun buildings for the animals, I am sure that is for the benefit of the people going by so they don't see a square cement building :) Looks like a nice wooded area too, plenty of shade to take a break :)

Ostri....emus! They look A LOT alike, don't they?

And, ok, the rhinosaurus is totally a dinosaur. Am I the only one seeing this?? 😂

The peacocks are the prettiest things. Debbie, that is a lot of wild things. Wish we had a park like that near by. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Oh thank you for these gorgeous photos, Debbie. I haven’t been to the zoo in such a long, long time. It makes me long for the days when we took our kids every so many weeks. And yes, definitely a bride emu.

Actually, I almost felt like I was on the Safari with you, the photos are spectacular as always. I loved them all. I didn't know that about Zebras. This does look like an amazing adventure.
Blessings and hugs!

Your 'up close and personal' photos are breathtaking. It is always lovely to see a photo or two of the elegant black swans.
