Picking up from last Saturday,
I am going to share information about and pictures of the newest emerging butterflies.
On Sunday, we released a total of 5, #19 - 23,
I placed them on the red roses and them seemed to like them.

This one stayed on my neck for a while, others fly right off.
Tuesday I released 2, #24 & 25
Both of these hung around for a while,
I had to leave, when I came back, they were both gone.

Thursday we released 4, #26 - 29
On Friday, we released 2, #30 and 31, they took off like they were getting paid to,
no pictures, only memories.
I continue to get a little teary eyed as they fly off.
I had 52 at the start of winter, if they all emerge, I still have 21 coming.

Debbie, those Swallowtails are so beautiful. We have done this also, but not to the extent you do. And I loved releasing them, watching them dry their wings in the sun, then flying off. It makes you feel good. I remember one time I had surgery scheduled for that morning and I had one butterfly to release. This one flew around me a few times before taking off... and I had the feeling that all was well.
