The Fathers Day air was filled with fog.
Like many Saturdays before it, it is becoming a little bit of a tradition,
we went down to the inlet to enjoy some hot, fresh donuts from,

The fog was so heavy but as we sat and ate,
there was a steady stream of boats heading out to the ocean.

The fog lifted and then returned again.
All those boats, over 1/2 hour span of time.
This guy was holding a beer, we were eating breakfast.

It was maybe 10 am!
We did not see any commercial fishing boats coming in or going out,
but it was nice to see all the dads heading out for the day.
This was a great way to start the day!

You really got to me with the donuts, Debbie. We would love some Krispy Kreme donuts about now, but haven't ventured out to do this yet. So nice that you are able to get out and still social distance. Here most are not wearing masks although our daily new cases (454 in our county alone yesterday) are rising alarmingly. So glad you had a good Father's Day. We did too... although we didn't get out, we had pecan peach dump cake as well as an eye of the round roast with all the trimmings!

Nice way to celebrate for you two as well as (or more so) for the Brave Or foolish boaters out in that fog . I am not a fan of fog even on land ! )
Always fun watching the boats come and go.
Oh, my husband would love the donut part. I loved the unique photos of the boats in fog. You got some great shots.

Those sure are some pretty pretty boats! I love to sit and watch them come and go.....on their adventures. I like fog, it's pretty and mysterious, but sure don't like to be driving in it. Oh my goodness those donuts look so good!!! what is your favorite? I like the cream filled Bismarks, think I spelled that wrong maybe? And the fluffy cream filled Long Johns, they are more like Twinkies but Bismarks have a more custardy filling.
Very cool, Greg loves to take fog pictures... you could so tell the sun was doing everything it could to break through though :) We heard a few guys around here that planned a little fishing before spending the rest of the day with family :) The donuts look so yummy, great tradition!
