The Female House Finch
has brown/gray plumage, streaked above and below,
with two pale wing bars and pale edges to her flight feathers.
Her song is a series of rich, chattering phrases...her call is a shrill whee'ert.
I see her and her male companion at my feeders daily, year round.

Her marking are so pretty, her antic's are a joy to see at the feeders and in the trees.

She's found the perfect spot! Beautiful photos of this pretty bird! Happy weekend!
Beautiful photos! Your trees make for awesome backgrounds. Our bird activity has died way off with the current mild weather. I got a very nice feeder for Christmas, but it's not getting used at the moment.
What a happy and photogenic little bird

Love that last photo. Beautiful captures, Debbie.
I always loved these little ones back when I fed birds. Love that quizzical look in the last pic. They’re all so good. I’m glad you had a good Christmas Debbie ... and am wishing you a wonderful 2020. (I will be back blogging next week).
Great shots Debbie. I just love to watch and photograph all birds. Hoping the holidays were good to you.
