A Few Of My Favorite Things...

I love seeing our home decorated for Christmas.
I decorate all of the rooms downstairs but the family room is always my favorite.

It looks exactly the same every year and just as pretty during the day...

as it does at night!

I have a few favorite "things"!

The Christmas Tree in the Living Room.
I only buy presents for the "little ones" of which I have seven.
The snowmen in the back are for Addie and Lorelei.

I took 3 presents, wrapped them in white paper and created the snowman.
Then I purchased "snowmen kits" and made snowmen with the hat and scarf.
The other pieces from the kit (eyes, carrot nose and buttons) are in the gift bags.
The hubs drew the rest right on the boxes...
kinda' hard to explain but they came out really cute.

Saturday Critters ~ 315 ~

The Female House Finch
has brown/gray plumage, streaked above and below,
with two pale wing bars and pale edges to her flight feathers.

Her song is a series of rich, chattering phrases...her call is a shrill whee'ert.

I see her and her male companion at my feeders daily, year round.

Her marking are so pretty, her antic's are a joy to see at the feeders and in the trees.

Post Christmas

Christmas was wonderful!
I wish I had taken a picture of my Christmas table,
with all the food and special touches I added to it, it really looked so pretty.

I did remember to take a picture of my roasted stuffed chicken,
it was so good!

I received this picture from my niece,
Kalmin wearing the hat I made for him, he loved it.
This little boy never stops smiling
and is the happiest baby I have ever known.

We started this puzzle over Thanksgiving,
we had the boarder done and only a few other pieces.
I have this yellow mat kit,
with a blow up piece that lays on the puzzle so you can roll it up.
You can get one here, a Puzzle Roll-Up Mat kit.
It runs around $ 25.00, but is well worth it and it works great!

After we had the boarder done, we worked from the middle out,
we determined the scarf might be easiest to start with and it was.

Youngest son Mike is still here and is a puzzle guru!

This is where we are now,
when the house gets quiet, I sneak in to the kitchen,
and find one or both of them working on it.
They are "hooked" to say the least!

Last night we watched Klaus on Netflix, what a great movie...

if you have the chance, watch it!

Thanks so much Angie for telling me about it!
