Meeting Frankie

One beautiful day last week we were out early for a bike ride at the
Allaire Bike Path.

The first thing I spotted as we pulled in to the parking lot...

was Frankie.

This beautiful girl on the right does not speak English.
She mentioned that to me "after" I went on and on...
for several minutes,
expressing my deep love of horses to her.
I do wish she had interrupted me!

Here's Kate, she does speak English and was so very kind
and friendly to me.
Telling me all about both of the horses,

and encouraging to me pet and interact with them.
That was easy, the hubs took these great shots.

I can't remember this beautiful mare's name,

but Frankie I will remember forever.

This brief encounter made my day.
Meeting these two lovely girls and their amazing horses.
Kate said they were going to ride the entire morning.
Allaire has dedicated horse paths as well as walking and bike paths.

I hope they had fun, we had an awesome ride on the bikes,
on this very beautiful day!!

so glad you had the chance to get to meet both of the horses. such great pics. your husband did very well. wow, you got up so close. i would be kind of scared to get that close.

i remember as kid, i worked for a lady who had a horse & she would give me carrots to feed them & i would put them in my hand as she had told me & their whisker around their mouth always tickled me ... it was the closest i had ever been to a horse ... they are just so big ... very intimidating to me. Oh, I can see the joy on your face! That's great that you got to meet Frankie and the other horse. They're beautiful. I love horses, too. I wanted one so badly as a child, but mom and dad said no. :-( So I pretended that my bike was a horse. :-)

They are beautiful horses even though I've always been a bit afraid to be around horses. It was wonderful they let you pet them and share your love of horses with them. Cool that your hubby took the photo's for you too.
