Yesterday I was very busy taking pictures, of Mr. Red...
sitting on the floor in my home office,
shooting through the glass window.
I stopped to look at the images and was so disappointed,
the windows are dirty from all the stormy weather
and I was so unhappy with the pictures.
The window was unlocked, so I decided to open it.
Much to my surprise, Mr. Red did not fly off.
He decided to stay,
and pose.
Here I am sure he see's me but he does not fly off.
One last perfect pose, a puff out and off he went.
If you feed them they will come!

I think he's found a friend in you so much so he just stands and poses for you...He's beautiful that's for sure....
What a handsome fella Mr. Red is!!
He would not like it here today.
We are getting quite pounded with a snow storm.
Spring is not coming here tomorrow. :-(

how cute! what a sweet fellow!
Oh Debbie I think Mr Red is a show off lucky for you. Beautiful photos he is a natural model as much as you are a natural photographer. Hug B
I love when they get all puffy like that :-)
nope - i think he's telling you that the birdfeeder is running low on sunflower seeds...LOL
I got out of cleaning windows last year because the fire etched them all with pieces of burning pine needles ;p but this year i will be out there as soon as the snow melts (yay!)
He's a handsome fellow and definitely posing for you...the ham! I find the cardinals one of the least skittish of the birds, after the gold finches, when it comes to snapping them.
He likes showing off and posing for you!
Debbie, you extra effort paid off in a big way. These are gorgeous.
no kidding - so will the squirrels & other silly animals. i miss my birds. but glad to not feed those silly creatures.

He really does look like he's posing for you! Thank you for sharing these photos--I enjoyed them. I've seen a cardinal hanging around lately, but I never have my camera ready!

A colorful and very patient subject, Debbie.
Debbie, I am so glad he did not fly off. Your photos are great and he posed so nicely for you! My cardinals are so skittish. Have a great evening and happy week!
You are the bird whisperer! A bird can tell :)
