My Beautiful Balloon

On Sunday the 29th, the hubs and I headed north to the
Quick Check NJ Festival of Ballooning.

This is the third year we attended this super fun festival.

We arrived at 6 a.m. for the 6:45 Mass Ascension
of 125 colorful Hot Air Balloons.

Mass Inflation

Hi there...

look at those beautiful colors!!

At times, the sky was so blue,

a total of 125 balloons were launched.

The colors and patterns are just amazing.

The balloon in the center is tethered,
for those who want to experience the thrill of the ride
and remain attached to the ground.

You can purchase tickets, to experience the festival from above.

But on this day, I prefer the view from below.

It is an amazing sight,

it can't be explained,

you have to experience it!!

There were some cute, colorful shaped ones for the kids,

but my favorites are the colorful, traditional ones.

I purchased this flag at the fair,
I plan on leaving it out for the entire summer!!
July 29, 2012

The hubs and I were lucky enough to have our
own hot air balloon ride, in June 2011.
Pictures from that adventure can be viewed here.

It was the experience of a lifetime, one I will never forget!!

So beautiful! LOVE the flag...and the strawberry one is my favorite! I don't have many "bucket list" things, but a hot air balloon ride is one thing I do want to do some day!

Oh Debbie your pictures are amazing! I love the shot you got with so many in the air at once! I wish we were there at the same time. Maybe next year. I just went back and looked at your post of your ride. It looked so amazing. My boys have asked everyday if they can go back there and see the balloons :)

Wow, those are some fantastic colors, and I just looked at your pictures from the balloon ride. That's crazy!! I'm not afraid of heights, but I am claustrophobic, so I don't know how well I'd do... but what wonderful pictures!

Hi Debbie...It would be one I wouldn't forget either because I would be petrified lol!!
I have seen them land in the field, and sail over my house from personal owners of them!!
Awesome sight.. and great photos to show them off!!
The balloon festival will be held here in 2 weeks!

I've been to the balloon festivals in New Mexico....love the quiet air that surrounds us at day break, and the hissing of the hot exhaust and the spurts of fire....but, I must say, I have NEVER seen the flag raised in such a way as what you shared....that balloon is spectacular!!!
