It's been too hot to ride the bikes (enter a sad face)
but I miss my cute deer when I don't get to see them.
So the other night we drove the 4 wheels to Allaire,
just so I could see them,
and to be sure there were no "births" since we had last been there.
It was late, the fields were quiet...
this big guy was hanging around, alone.
He noticed us as soon as we stoped the car,
he kept an eye on us but did not run off.
I've never seen this deer before,
he had a large growth just under his mouth.
I was on foot here, this one let me get pretty close.
I'm not sure what it is about seeing these wild animals, wild.
There is just something about it that really makes my heart happy.

I think seeing nature makes me happy too - and I hope he is okay - with humans it's a goiter. Lol sandie
Very nice photos of the deer - seeing them in the wild is always a gift!
I love to go deer hunting. Such a beautiful animal.
I wonder what kind of growth that poor creature has.
First time I saw a deer in the wild, I cried....you are fortunate to see these animals often....I wish your deer would get to the doctor's!
He is gorgeous! You were so lucky to get to capture him. Life is just wonderful sometimes ♥
what a cute little guy you have in your yard!
Lucky girl, I hardly ever see dear!
The deer is a beautiful animal.
Your photos show its beauty.
The photos are great!
I know what you mean when you say it makes your heart happy :))
He seems happy for you to be taking his picture.
That growth under his mouth looks quite nasty!!!
It is wonderful to see these lovely animals out in the wild. You got some great shots here!
He is so beautiful even with the growth. What beautiful creatures. You are lucky to be able to get so close to one and him just stay there.

The deer looks good except for that growth.I wonder how it will affect him in the long run.
Love the deer pictures! That growth under his mouth looks pretty nasty.
I love seeing animals in the wild. Great shots, but gee, just what is that thing under his chin!
I love deer! We have lots of them around here. The only downfall is they are always near the road and at night you never know when one is going to dart out in front of you.
Oh the poor deer! That growth looks awful! I saw 'my' deer in the pasture again just before dark. They are pretty, but a nuisance too. They've been munching on my roses, I saw the evidence today!
You got some great shots Debbie.Enjoy your sunday!

Great photos, Debbie! Deer get some strange growths sometimes. Often from injuries and other times it's kind of a mystery. As long as they're able to eat, they're usually okay.
You did well, my friend... oh, and yay for being 2nd! Woot! Lol.
Beautiful photographs, fantastic animal. I am greeting
Debbie, it is a pretty critter. I love the wild animals too. That growth is strange looking, never seen one like that. Wonderful photos, happy Sunday!
Nice shots. The deer looks pretty healthy, despite the tumorous growth.
poor guy. although he looks healthy so i guess that lump doesn't affect his eating. nice captures!
Ha! Great capture! Every time I see one of these I'm either in my car, and they are on the road, or I don't have my camera in hand!
It is wonderful to get to see nature's animals. :-)
