Being Happy...

finding joy...
For me, it's everywhere!!
An afternoon wasted spent with the Nikon in my hand,
and a view of my feathered friends defines one of my happiest days.

I have a new lens, Nikon's 55 - 300,
let me show you what that baby can do!!

White Breasted Nuthatch

Blue Jay

My Blue Jays are very good sharers.

Male Northern Cardinal

Mourning Dove

Male House Finch

Male House Sparrow

Female House Sparrow

I think this is a Hairy Woodpecker,
because of his longer bill.

Male American Robin

Mr. Squirrel was very happy also!!

Fresh Cut Lilac's to fill the house with perfume.

My happiest moments are those spent with my family.
The hubs is always here but sometimes I miss my boys.
Then I remember I must fill my own heart with joy
and I don't have any trouble doing that!!

Make yourself happy and others will feel your joy!!

oh, sigh. We can make that choice to fill up with the joy-bringing stuff. These are all magnificent photos - the DETAIL that you've gotten...I love them. But mostly it's knowing how genuinely tickled you are to have your treasured camera, lens and time to spend doing what you enjoy! If you have a second, head here:

Isn't that the truth! We have to be happy ourselves, before we can make others happy! Sometimes I'm not so good at that, and other times I'm good at it! Anyway, the photos of the birds are absolutely awesome! I just have one question, how to you know if it's a boy or girl? You been lifting up the skirts of the birds again?

What did you do, put out a casting call for those photos? Now you've made me add that lens to my birthday wish list for the Nikon. Fat chance, but we'll see how far I can push the idea.

I love your pictures of the birds and squirrl today. Camera's are amazing. You are inspiring me to go out and take a picture or two. I think that being in nature helps so much when one is down. I have felt down; but this helped me rethink a few things.
