I Have Been Missing

for almost 2 weeks now.

Did anyone notice I was missing??

I had Shingles and a whole host of other problems that knocked me right on my ass!!

Shingles suck and when I say suck, I mean S.U.C.K!!

Here I am out of bed with a fake smile.
There are a lot of drugs to treat the very painful symptoms of shingles,
and because of those drugs,
I am able to produce and hold the "fake smile" here!!

Here I am with a "medicated smile"!!
The pain medications are so awesome, that a "medicated smile"
is not too difficult to maintain.

This was my view for 6 days, these are medicated "floating" feet!!

They do have "Room Service" at this hospital,
5 Star to be exact!!

and the food's not too bad...you know how I love to eat!!

Someone we both know and love brought in "heart donuts",
for our special day!!

He also called ahead and ordered the room with a view,
gorgeous right?!

Six actual days in the hospital, it's all pretty much a blurr!!
Coming home, and surviving being home,
was one of the most difficult things I have ever done.

Thank you all for the wonderful notes and well wishes.
Some of you knew where I was, most of you did not.

Either way,
I was thinking about all of you and
wishing we could spend time together!!

I am finally ready to write, and write I will!!

I am right here letting out a big exhale with Tex. I am so relieved to see your beautiful smile once again (even fake and medicated) and to know that you are home.

Having a post from you just made my day...no...it made my week!

I love the donuts you got. Someone sure is sweet! :)

Hi Debbie, I have been missing you. I am so sorry it was because you were sick. I thought you might have gone on vacation. I have heard Shingles are awful. The donuts look delicious and the view out your window looks beautiful. I do hope you are feeling better and on your way to recovery. Take care and I hope you get that 5 star service at home too.

Debbie, I'm so glad you're on the mend and back from the hospital stay. Smile or not, when you know it's a medicated smile, it doesn't make you actually happy.

I though the extended leave might be MS related. When you're already living with MS, fate shouldn't even give you a cold. You have a full plate already, kwim?

The heart-shaped donuts are sweet...they had to make some of your smile authentic and not medicated!

Keep feeling better!

I was going to ask TexWis Girl about you. I knew you had been gone too long. I thought about you now for a whole week. I am glad you are now able to write. I am so glad you are better? My Dad got shingles and he said they are the worst thing that he ever had in his whole entire life. He was so sick too. So I know how sick you were/are.
I hope you recover quickly. I will be praying for you. I was praying and the Lord did bring you to my mind lots.
Rest and get well.

Debbie I have wondered where you have been. I am so sorry you have been so sick and in the hospital. Only you would bring her camera to the hospital and photograph her experience (LOL). I hope you are feeling much better now and stay out of the hospital.

Oh, Debbie. Six days! I'm so sorry you went through such pain. How are you feeling now?

Your smile didn't look so fake to me, actually. Maybe that was your optimism shining through. You clearly realized that your hospital stay could have been a lot worse.

Hi Debbie..Well that is the poorest excuse I have ever heard for not posting..laid up with 5 star accommodations ..lol..
Yes I did wonder what had happened to you..but I did think it probably was a family situation!!
So sorry poor you! I can't imagine what it is like and hope I never have to either!!
Hope everything gets back to normal (whatever that is)!

Debbie!!! I was so worried. I thought maybe some farmer had you held up in his barn for trespassing. I was hoping you explained you were only trespassing for pictures for Barn Charm. I was about to send out a search party. I am so sorry to hear you are sick. I wish you a speedy recovery!

Bless your heart, I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better. I did not know where you went but I did notice you were missing! My grandmother had the shingles a few years back and I remember how much pain she was in. I'm sorry you had to suffer through that. Sending much love and prayers for a speedy recovery for you. Glad to have you back :)

I had notice you had not posted on your blog since yours is one I have marked and whenever you post something a star comes up, but I thought you were on vacation in a wonderful beautiful place. But I guess I was wrong. I know about shingles because my husbands mom, had them last year. Shingles attacked her eye and went up towards her head. They did leave her slightly blind. She can not see well form that eye.
They do say it is very painful. She sometimes wanted to cut her head off she said.
Glad to know that you are back and hopefully in your feet taking beautiful pictures again.
What hospital is this at? Love those donuts.
TFS. Glad to see you are doing better.

Love ya, Susan

I did miss your posts. I am so sorry you had to be hospitalized. Shingles are the worst. I have actually been hearing more about people with shingles. I guess the $300.00 shot would be worth it.
Do get better quick and blessings to you!
