She's Starting to Pose!!!!!

She is not as quick to leave as she once was.........

Taking a long sip of nectar, my special blend, then darting off!!!!

Yesterday, for the first time, she wanted to stay........

and be sure I got my shot!!!!!

Pretty little poses........

gently tipping her head as if to say,
"we are friends now, let's look out for each other"!!!!!

You can click on the pictures to enlarge them. They are staight out of the camera, the first 2 were cropped once!!!

Debbie, I was so touched by this beautiful series of photographs. Aren't hummingbirds wonderful? In time they do get used to your presence and allow you to get much closer. She's certainly a beauty. You must have been so very excited. Awesome post!

Your angel baby is precious! She does look like she is posing. I love hummingbirds. With the heat ours have been a little reluctant allusive.

You have a lovely neighbor. Good of you to provide a hummer buffet and sweet of her to pose for you. Great shots!

Debbie, these are great and she does look like she's more trusting. They seem to get that way after awhile. Just this morning as I was adding more nectar, the little girl came and was within 6 inches of my face just hovering there ... sort of spooked me out! Finally, I shooed her away ... maybe she liked my "red" hair! LOL!

Lovely pictures, you are getting better and better at this. Love that first one - that is a right coy looking she is giving you.

After the first rush of hummers in the spring, my feeders aren't very busy during the summer. However, there are two or three females visiting again. I haven't tried to photograph them lately....one feeder just isn't in the right place and the other is outside a kitchen window so I'd have to stand inside with the camera. Your close-ups are precious.

Hi Debbie, cute little feathered friend you have there! I didn't feed the hummers this year, but have seen some around my flowers. I love to watch them!

AWEsome Debbie! These are the best shots I've seen of a hummer. Isn't she just darling! What's in that special blend of yours?
