Saturday Critters #647

I have been checking on the Mute Swans at Glimmerglass Lake,
no babies yet as of yesterday.
Earlier this week I posted about their progress here.
My daily post updates have not been added to the reading list so you may have missed it.
I thought the images were fabulous.

I'll re-share this one image, as Ms. Mute Swan moved to the side to show me they had not come yet.

On a more recent visit to the lake, I saw 2 American Oystercatchers, I don't usually see them here.
According to my Bird Book, they are here year round but I have only seen them once before.
A robust and stocky shorebird, sexes are similar!
They have black, white and brown plumage with a bright orange bill that looks like a carrot.

The lake was so still, I was able to capture these pretty reflection.

Here you can see both of them!

A few steps away, I saw these...

two Male Mallards with "synchronized" walking...

and
synchronized eating, they amused me.

So did this Male Sparrow who kept an eye on me while I was taking pictures.
