Trunk Or Treat

Trunk or Treat...have you ever heard of it?
I have, but it is not something I grew up with, or something that existed when my boys were young.
I googled it...
"Trunk or Treat is a form of Halloween tradition which often serves as an alternative to
Trick or Treating in the United States and Canada".
It is an event where participants park in a parking lot, decorate their car trunks with festive themes,
and hand out candy from their cars trunk.
Children, in costume, go from one decorated car trunk to the next to get treats,
much like traditional trick-or-treating, but in a single, contained area.

The hubs and I passed this one at a school on our way home on Friday night.
I made him turn around, I walked through like I owned the place...no kid in tow, it was amazing.

The creativity, the parents participation, made it such an amazing event.
No one stopped me and I did not take any candy...although I did want to take a piece for the hubs!

I don't think we do that here or maybe I'm just out of the loop. The displays are really fun!

I think it is a fairly new thing my daughter did not have it nor my 14 year old grand. While it is amazing and probably safer. I loved waiting for dusk as a kid and knowing who gave out the best candy. We traveled in packs and came home loaded with candy. It was spooky and fun and about the only time of year we got candy and was allowed out after dark.

It's has become quite popular since there is so much danger lurking in the shadows after dark.

Hello,
Cute decorations! I see signs for the trunk trick or treating more often now. It has become popular. Take care, enjoy your day!

Yup I heard of it but have to ever seen it. Looks pretty amazing, Wonder if it is as much fun as going door to door- probably a lot safer anyway
